Round 1 vs. Vashawn Head
I thought for sure I would lose this match, Vashawn is an extremely tough duelist to beat. It started out with me going first, and I got a cyber jar, summoned skull, solemn wishes, shadow of eyes, and a 7 colored fish. I played the traps face down, and played the fish in attack. Of course, Vashawn had a plan, so I saved the jar for later, I flipped solemn up and he played soul exchange on my fish, he played 2 cards face down and ended his turn. I drew and got 500 life points, I played the jar face down, and he later attacked it after he played a gearfriend, with everything gone, we drew our cards, he got all traps, nothing of value though, and a gravekeepers servant. I got a dark zebra, 2 seven colored fish, Jinzo, and a magic jammer. He got nothing for the rest of the game that was good, so I beat him. Then I just dominated the 2nd match and moved on.
Round 2 vs. Brent Flood
I was surprised that brent was there, he usually sucks, I beat him easily the first match with a jinzo and a summoned skull with the help of magic jammer and seven tools of the bandit. Second match, went about the same, he played a psychic kappa face down, so I knew he either had some retarted strategy, or was just plain retarted, I got rid of it with a Raigeki, and kept attacking him with Gearfried, the fish, and a zebra and won it with the help of my mirror force
Round 3 vs. Brad Bergman (semifinals)
He was tough considering he beat me the first match with his direct damage stuff, and I got nothing to defend myself with, but I came back and beat him two times in a row with solemn wishes and mirror force and change of heart, and Raigeki. He didn’t even have a prayer the 3rd match.
Round 4 vs. Brian cummings
Brian is the best there is, and was even #1 on the official site. He had an exodia deck and he had a sanga, witch of the black forest, and a backup solider face down, 4 turns into it. He attacked my stronger monsters on purpose to have his searching cards die, then he played backup solider and got the last 3 pieces he needed. Easy 1st match for him. The second one I almost beat him, he wore himself down with two messengers of peace, knowing I had mystical space typhoons up the wazoo and a heavy storm waiting for him. He had magic jammers a plenty and got exodia again, and beat me.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
