Hey guys this is my first time so bare with me.  Just to let everyone know I originally played at WOTC in Springfield, VA (the toughest competition EVER!!!).  Anyway I wanted to play in sanctioned tournaments and decided to play at HAL Comic Strip.  ( It’s 10 minutes from my house!!).  I have been there for the last 3 weeks and have won 1st place each week. So here is the report for the most recent tourney.

 

Note: Since the rulings have not come out for Pharaoh’s Servant they do not use them.

Me Vs Some Kid Theran

After I pulled Blue Eyes it was over. For both rounds I demolished his life points.  Poor kid did not see what was coming.  4850 – 0 round 1 and 5000 – 0 round 2.

 

Round 2 – 18 people left

Me Vs Some Kid Devon

I really did not know the point of most of the kids’ decks. So I ended up doing the same thing to this kid.  6900 – 0 round 1 and 5500 – 0 round 2.

 

Round 3 – 9 people left

Me Vs Larry (Beatdown)

Larry talks a lot and for some reason keeps challenging me constantly outside the tourney.  He is a cool kid but needs to pay attention to his cards.  Just like the rest he took a big downfall.  7500 – 0 round 1 and 6000 – 0 round 2.

 

Round 4 – 5 people left

I got a bye. Lucky me!!!

 

Round 5 – 3 people left

Me Vs An Over Hyper Kid (Beatdown)

I had never seen him before but he just beat Amber (The person in charge of the Tournament).  He was making so much noise. At this point I was ready to go home, cause I had a date and I was running late.  So I figured it would be an easy win.  Well I thought wrong.  The first match I had gotten him down to 1000 LP and he was able to hit a dark hole and destroy my Blue Eyes and my Tri Horn Dragon. Then I just took a pounding from then on 0 – 1000 his way round 1.  As I was playing him I noticed that he had no card destructions and a beatdown deck.  So for the first time in a tournament, I sided in my Exodia Deck.  He did not know I was using Exodia and kept attacking Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest.  Slowly but surely I was able to pull them out on him keeping a strong defense.  6000 – 8000 EXODIA win my way. Whew!!! The Last round I just kept hitting him with my Witches and Sangan, and Summoned Skull.  He could not pull any monsters.  7000 – 0 my way.

 

Round 6 – 2 people left Championship

Me Vs Justin (Spear Creatin Trick/Beatdown)

Justin always gives me the best competition at HAL.  And I’m not sure if the spear creatin trick is leagal. Hit me back if it is or not, but what he does is he waits till a spear creatin is in the graveyard, and then puts another on the field along with a canon soldier.  He tributes the creatin for a 500 LP damage uses the effect and brings back the other and continuously does this in 1 turn until your LP are 0. Anyway luckily he has not done it on me.  Round 1 was too easy I pulled 2 exodia pieces and 2 WOTBF and 1 Sangan on the first 5 cards. I pulled a monster reborn shortly after that then BAMM….Exodia’s back. 8000 – 8000 Exodia win my way.  Round 2 I could not pull that many Exodia pieces and just kept chunking his life points till he hit 0.
