This was an awesome tournament.  As stated above there was sixty-four duelists in attendance;  IQ (from POJO.COM) was even there.  Almost everybody there was an experienced duelist except for one or two kids (I faced one of those kids in the first round).  The trade of the day there was done by Michael:  Michael traded an Exodia set and six or so other super rares for a Mechanical Chaser.

For those of you who have been reading my tournament reports:  Thanks.  I have added more monster removal to my deck by adding two Hane-Hane and two Man-Eater Bug and another Wall of Illusion.  I took out one Fissure and put in Tribute to The Doomed (which proved to be very helpful).  I also added another Dark Elf and another Seven Colored Fish.  Taking out one of my Robbin' Goblin out of my main Deck for Gravekeeper's Servant proved to ineffective;  The Forceful Sentry did prove to be very fun to use.  I, also, actually have a Side Deck this time that actually complements my Deck.  Well, on with the tournament report.

Round 1        Fiends of Darkness  vs.  60+ Cards Deck

Duel 1

Roger the Skunk  8000
Justin  8000-7300-4600-2800-1800-0

There is not much to say here.

Duel 2

Roger the Skunk  8000-7500-7000-6500
Justin  8000-7000-4800-2600-900-100-0

This was much of the same.  The only reason I lost life points is that he used a Pharaoh's Servant card that took 500 life points away from each time I used a magic card or something like that.  I know, I should of told him he couldn't use it, but I didn't care.

Round 2        Fiends of Darkness  vs.  Simple Beatdown Deck

Duel 1

Roger the Skunk  8000-6600-6350
Brad  8000-4950-450-0

Brad was a much better duelist than my previous opponent, but Brad telegraphed his moves way too much (I could almost always tell when he had a good trap card on the field).  This duel was much more fun.  I quickly brought out Maha Vailo with an Axe of Despair.  Needless to say that did him in.

Duel 2

Roger the Skunk  8000-6300
Brad  8000-9000-7300-6500-4000-2450-2200-0

This duel took a little bit longer.

Round 3        Fiends of Darkness  vs.  Good Beatdown Deck

Duel 1

Roger the Skunk  8000-6750-3375-1687.5-1187.5-887.5-87.5-0
Daniel  8000-6200-5200-3000-1250-250

This duel was close the entire time.  What hurt me the most in this duel was Jirai Gumo.  I loss the coin toss for Jirai Gumo twice:  that is why there is a half of a point in my life points.

Duel 2

Roger the Skunk  8000-6200
Daniel  8000-7800-5500-5000-0

This was a good but fast duel.  Maha Vailo with an Axe of Despair and Summoned Skull came out at the end for the closer.

Duel 3

Roger the Skunk  8000-2700-2200-1200-200
Daniel  8000-4950-2450-450-0

The above score doesn't actually tell the story of what happened.  Daniel had me down to 1200 life points while he was at 8000 life points.  What happens next was awesome.  I use Change of Heart on his face down Magician of Faith.  I use Magician of Faith to bring back my Monster Reborn, and then I use to bring out Summoned Skull.  Daniel's monster and magic/trap zones are completely clear.  I then summon Maha Vailo with an Axe of Despair.  I attack with Maha Vailo, Summoned Skull, Dark Elf, and Jirai Gumo (I won the flip this time).  That was great one-turn kill.  Daniel was a good opponent.

Round 4        Fiends of Darkness  vs.  Simple Deck with Nimble Momonga

Duel 1

Roger the Skunk  8000-5500-4500-3600-1100-100-0
Reggie  8000-7300

Reggie was a very good duelist.  I just couldn't keep any monsters out.

Duel 2
Roger the Skunk  8000-7900-4100--600-0
Reggie  8000-7100-6250-5250

Same as the last duel.

This was a great  tournament.  The guys from my store dominated most of the tournament.  Also,  Reggie went on to win the tournament.  I managed to trade a Toon Summoned Skull for a Black Pendant and traded for a Wall of Illusion.  I also traded for my Sanga of Thunder for a third Axe of Despair.

If you have any helpful deck suggestions, comments, or questions send me an e-mail.  I will try to find out how often Lone Star Comics will be holding the lager 64-person tournaments.
