3 Tribute To The
Doomed
Before the tournament things were crazy, mostly b/c everyone was
shouting at everyone else for watching them playtest.
Ok, so the host
was shouting off names of who were playing who and we were all scrambling to get
to our seats. There were 3 people left who hadn't been called yet, and I was one
of them. Another was a person whom I had been fearing because he beat me
practically EVERY time I played him that week. The last person was one who I
knew I would slaughter.. just my luck. I get paired up with Matt, the person who
I ( thought) I knew I couldn't beat.
Round 1: Matt ( Exodia ) vs.
Nick
Game one- it was witch of the black forest after sangen, after
Sangen.. How lucky for me that he also had plenty of Wabuko's and Kuribo's ....
I topdecked a card destruction ( which is one reason i was running them main as
the 3 people who I feared all played exodia ) and thought to myself thank god!
hmm.. magic jammer! AGH! He builds exodia thanks to big eye and last
will.
SideDeck - OUT: 3 Wall of
Illusion IN: 3
Tribute to the Doomed ( tttd )
Game 2 - Lucky for me, all my removal
kept his creatures gone and I got an early summoned Skull and fish. Lucky for me
that TTTD stops the pesky flip effects of Big eye, magician of Faith and mask of
darkness.
Game 3 - I win practically the same way as game 2, however, he
had 4 peices, and the next card was the last one ( Big eye ) but, with
Fish, Neo, Ox, and SS, the extra damage that Big Eye blocked wasn't
enough.
Record -
2-0-1 1-0-0
Round 2 -
Some Kid ( Yugi Starter Deck ) vs. Nick
Game one - There isn't much
to say about this.. he bought a yugi starter deck and entered with it.. all
cards inculding Doma the Angel of Silence ( AGH! ).. utter murder..
Game
two - The only difference between game one and two here is that his yami helped
me win this, as he did have some other cards ( like 1 or 2 7-Colored fish ) but
thanks to La Jinn's Boost from HIS yami, i win..
Record -
2-0-0 2-0-0
Round 3 - Mace ( Defensive Burner ) vs.
Nick
Game one - He is actually pretty good, but thanks to
re-inforcements, fisures, and raigeki, my monsters get through his 21 2000+ def
monsters ( prevent rat, Mystical elf, GSOS, Spirit of the Harp, aqua madoor,
Dark elf, and Jurai Gumo )
Sidedeck- OUT: 3 Wall of Illusions IN: 3
TTTD
Game 2 - He is at like 400-900 life, me having 4 monsters on the
field, he has a Mystical Elf, Aqua madoor, and GSOS on the field, me STILL being
at 8000.. he plays one of the BEST plays ever..
1: Raigeki
2: Prevent
rat
3; SWORD AND SHIELD!! AHH!
He attacks me directly for 8000!
Game 3 - I win on turn 3. He goes first..
1 HIM : he plays a
monster in DEF mode
1 ME : Dark hole, Fish, attack you directly,
2 HIM:
Dark elf ( trap holed )
2 ME : Monster reborn his Dark elf, play Neo, attack
directly
3 HIM: Juria Gumo
3 ME: Pot of Greed, Fissure, Battle ox, attack
directly.. i win

Round 4- Ivan ( exodia ) vs. Nick
This kid was the same kid
that I faced in the finals of last week tourney and lost to, however this week I
was prepared by maindecking Card Destruction
Game one - Removal ALL
his critters, attack directly win soon ( the whole point of my deck
)
Side Deck - OUT 3 wall of
Illusion
IN 3 TTTD ( i do that a lot )
Game 2- he slaps a mirror force in my face
and stalls me for so long with 2 SORL and other stuff... he forms exodia with a
summoned skull on the board.. horrible loss
Game 3- he had Witch of the
black forest, last will, sangens, big eye, and magician of faith... luckily I
had 2 card destructions.... magic jammer :D! I use the next one.. he flips over
a magic jammer!!!!!! then realizes that all he has in his hand are exodia
peices, as a result, he scoops.
Record - 2-0-1 4-0-0
Most of the
rounds that I won were won on pure luck, and my Tech of maindeck Card
Destruction..
Props - Round 2 kid and Mace for being good losers and Rey
for hosting the
tournament
Slops - to Matt for being a HORRIBLE loser and calling me a
cheater
