Day 1:

            Collectors Corner

Round 1 : Me (Bandit Keif) vrs. A kid that didn’t want to play me because I beat him two weeks ago.

I think there is a correclation between kids that don’t cover their cards with sleeves and the ones that don’t. The nicer the covers are (usually) they are a better duelist. For example the K Force and I have hella nice sleeves, the best anyone has ever seen and we set the bar for themed card backs. Well this kid did not have covers, so he had no chance. He ran a toon deck with about one toon world. He got taken by my quicker lower technology monsters, both duels. I win this match.

Round 2 : Me (Bandit Keif) vrs. Charlie

Man, I’m happy I sit on the far side of the people watching me here. Partly because I know some kid with a loose mouth will slip and blurt out what is in my hand of field. And kid’s aren’t the only reason that I don’t want my back to the audience. I have to watch out for the competition that completed their round before I did and they are doing some reconnaissance on their next opponent. And then there are the biters (copiers with no imagination of their own to come up with something original), that will try to copy my Redline (and probably fail – this deck took me a while). Well like any self respecting guy in a crowed place with potential thieves I keep my back to the wall and become fully aware of my surroundings.

Round 3 : Me (Bandit Keif) vrs. Charlie

I know I forgot someone. He probably got beat in record time, so I’ll go on with the duel of me and Charlie. He runs a beatdown with some unexpected and quite useful cards that gave him the advantage at one point in time. I never really thought that a serious duelist would run a time wizard… wasting his summon for a 50% raigeki. Well Charlie did! And I had a Jinzo and a Cannon Soldier on the field with no traps down. He summons Time Wizard and flips. I watch this last resort move pay off for him. He ages both machines (contrary to what the show says about rust proof armor) and wins 1 duel. I win the match normal style with a big redlined machine.

Final Round : Me (Bandit Keif – 3rd West Coast) vrs. Edward Chan (Season 1 West Coast Champ)

Edward always says that he likes to duel me and Kevo Kaiba. Just because we run decks that aren’t beatdown that work just fine. It forces him to think outside the box and play more strategically because he doesn’t see this stuff everyday. Well at Collectors International on Friday I was taking the duels me and Edward played. He got beat about 4 times by redline. He then goes on to tweek it and beats me on Saturday at the tournament. Damn, I shouldn’t play for “fun” folks just find a little sidedeck or fix their current deck after dueling me (much like some Sacramento player did last week). Because if you don’t lose, theres nothing to fix! So duel someone your going to lose to, and then fix whats wrong.

Day 2:

World of Books – We knew that the San Francisco players were coming to duel so we had to show up for them both days (no letting them take our hometown prize).

Round 1: Bandit Keif (Me) vrs. Some Kid

This kid lost hella fast. I didn’t even have to Redline my machines to win this game… they could have done it in low gear. I took this match 2 – 0 and I didn’t get touched on one of them.

Round 2 : Bandif Keif (Me) vrs. Hak Gwai Kid

This kid knew who I was and was like damn. However he did beat a good duelist, Frolian. I looked at Frolian’s deck and was like, Damn! He beat you! Humm so he must have a good chance to beat me. He didn’t… I have no idea how Frolian lost. My cousin Alexis lost his box around this time, in this area, so aside from dueling I was looking for kids who may have my cousin’s box.

Round 3 : Bandit Keif (Me) vrs. Alex (Son of Rodel “Grandpa Yugi!”)

I knew that Alex ran Exodia. A vengeful rare hunter tipped me off (yea! Phillip hooked it up with some recon about my next opponent). So with the information from the rare hunter that wanted justice I side decked all my monster killers with Exodia killers like delinquent duo and stuff. Hey Rodel, did you see the TV show today? I think it’s the first episode where they showed one of the characters parents! You can be the Legendary Fisherman! Think about it… So anyways after I snatched his exodia head I just kept it next to the field smiling at him because he had the 4 pieces in his hand and couldn’t get to the head. He eventually decks out because of his 40 card exodia deck.

Final Round : Bandit Keif (Me) vrs. Brandon (Pho – says he ran over the best SF duelist coming to take our prize)

First of all I would like to congratulate Brandon for beating one of the visitors, (we can’t have people who read our reports, and think we’re weak come up into our turf and take the prize!) So Brandon showed them some superior skill by beating the SF duelist that made it to the semi finals. Mike Dy (Rare Hunter) also showed some skill and annihilated an outsider (good job rare hunter). Heh, people probably used to read my old fake decks that I posted and thought that our store was hella weak because I, with a weak ass deck, kept on winning. Well heads up people, I’m not posting my true redline… its been worked on since season two and is now like a friggin family recipe. Oh yea, word to all the visitors who think they can snatch the prize… these players here give third on the west coast (me), third in the bay area (kevo kaiba) and 6th on the west coast (serf) a run for our money, so be prepared for some stiff competition.

Post Game shouts:

Anyone reading this! I’m the guy with “Bandit Keif” on the back of his cards. You know we are the original K Force 1 themed card covers! So now that the Bay Area has seen the best, just remember, “Imitation is one of the most sincere forms of flattery.”

Shout to all the expert players – Collectors Corner and World of Books players. Escobar, Curtis and that little kid from SF that wants to flip my coins for me.. props.

Anyone who thinks I’m not telling the truth about the skill level come see K Force One win at Collectors Corner Saturdays and World of Books Sundays.
