Okay now. On to the tournament. The rules are pretty basic and easy to understand. Each match is best 2 out of 3. There are two brackets: The winners of the first round go into A, and all the losers go into B. Every tournament I have gone too before I won in the first round, and got my ass kicked in the second (due to all the good people). This week, I get into the losers round.

Pre-Tourney Duel: I dueled this one guy who was as much as a beginner as I have ever seen, normal starter  deck cards and a few essentials from packs. BeatDown kicked in and I wiped him out easily, both duels.

I also played his friend, who was much more experienced, and had pretty good cards. The things I didn't have were stuff like Goblin Attack Force, Snatch Steal, and a couple other cards I could have used. He beat me in three duels, but I did come close.

Round One: Blake vs John Franco (good all-around BeatDown): This guy was the third or fourth best duelist in the store, so when I heard I was dueling him, I knew that there wasn't much of a point.

Duel One: I was amazed that I actually took away some life points. I just used things like Dark Hole, Heavy Storm, a bunch of Equipped lvl 4's to take a couple chunks of his life points. But in the end, Raigeki and a stacked Maha Vailo (6000 or something) can't be stopped. Him: 4450 (all are around real) Me: 0

Duel Two: This was just unlucky, and I made a stupid decision. He started off with me attacking his Nimble Momonga's, so there he receive an extra 3000 lp he didn't need. With Gemini Elf and more Maha Vailo he knocked me down real low. With a Giant Trunade, I played Exchange and had the choice of Jinzo or Witch of the Black Forest. I made the stupid choice of Jinzo. Here's why: As you can see in my deck list, I don't have that many level 4 1800 monsters ( I need more), so it was a problem sometimes to get monsters. When I took Jinzo, I never had any monsters to tribute for it, so I couldn't do anything. He ended up beating me down. Him: 8000-9000 (took some off from Black Pendant 500+500) Me: 0

In other duels, my friend Drew also lost to one of the best duelists at the tourney. I don't know how the duels went, but the guy he faced is really good (so like me he didn't have a chance) Since I lost to John Franco, I move into the B division (all the losers). The guy I was playing next was simple, and barely knew how to play.

Round Two: Blake vs Kid with Horrible Deck

Duel One: As soon as I saw him play his cards, I knew this would be an easy way to get into the third round. The highest attack monsters were level 7's with 2200 atk, and a few level 4 1700. He was no threat for my jacked up Harpie's Bro and Summoned Skull. Also to speed up the duel, I played Mad Sword Beast and Equip Malevolent Nuzzler to add damage even when in defense. Invader of the Throne finished him off by taking his monster. Him: 0 Me: 7850 (I think he attacked my Witch with somebody)

Duel Two: This one wasn't any different but a lot faster. Change of Heart and Monster Reborn quickly put this kid away no problem for me.

Drew also defeated his second round duelist, so we both moved on to the third round, with a mere 8-10 people remaining. I had hoped to get the bye (I think there were 9), but I didn't get it.

Mid-Tourney Duels: The guy that Drew beat dueled me, and It was pretty easy to take him out. His entire deck was basically a Joey deck, with Time Wizard, Polymerization, Thousand Dragon, and those cards. He added a couple of his own cards like Shadow Ghoul and Catapult Turtle, but he was not problem.

Duel One + Two: Anything he tried to do I had a trap for it. When he attacked; Mirror Force. If he set a monster; Acid Trap Hole. A Summon? Trap Hole. He had left his field open, and I could easily attack. I Giant Trunaded his cards, Monster Reborn Skull for 5400 or something damage to end it.

Round Three: Blake vs Kid with Similar Deck

At first I thought I would be able to beat this guy, but I got REALLY unlucky again and drew no monsters.

Duel One: This was just a normal BeatDown duel, and I had the lead for a while. I had attacked him down to 4400 (I think) and thought I had the duel. He flipped his facedown Raigeki! Who puts Raigeki facedown? Well he did, and lucky for him it worked. I don't remember what he did but he took me out. Me: 0 Him: 4400

Duel Two: This was the same as the first one, unfortunately for me. I was really doing well, knocking him down to 2000. I thought I had this duel in the bag, but I was wrong. I think he used Dark Hole and started to attack my lp directly. Until the end of the duel, I did not draw a monster! Nothing, I couldn't do anything. He eventually knocked me out with Goblin Attack Force. Me: 0 Him: 2000 (two attacks and I would have won)

Well, for my time and money I received a PSV booster pack. I got a Shift. Oh well, I had fun, more expierince, and got some new cards and learned new stuff.

PROPS:
