Match 1 "Tomkat" vs. Joey
This kid was pretty good, but not good enough for my toons. He ran a beatdown.
I activated toon world and sacrificed jirai gumo to bring out toon summoned skull on my first
turn and it was all uphill from there. He had several failed attempts to bring out relinquished
but i magic jammed and fissured it every time. I pretty much just attacked with toons until he
gave up.
1-0-0
I did some trading after this match. I also got a LON booster and got royal command in
it. I traded that for another ultra rare toon summoned skull. I traded my cosmo queen for
prohibition, bazoo, gravity bind, scroll of bewitchment, and nobleman of crossout and as
soon as I handed it to him, he gave it to his little sister. That was the nicest thing I saw
the whole time I was there. I figured that deserved a lot of respect, so I went with him
wherever he went for the rest of the time. His name was Chris I think. I was there for all of
his matches.
Match 2 Me vs. Jeff
Defensive decks are his sopecialty. I don't really remember much from this match. Jeff was the most annoying kid I played
all day. He, too, had tried to bring relinquished out. I used fissure to destroy the summoned
skull he took and used aqua madoor for a pretty good chunk of LP. He used monster reborn on it
though and I activated spellbinding circle. He said you couldnt activate a trap when he was
summoned unless the trap was quick-play. That's what drove me into about throwing something at
him. I decided to let it slide then activate it on my turn. He took my aqua madoor and attacked
directly. I attempted to activate SC on my turn, but he said that because it was a special
summon, it couldnt be affected by magic or traps of any sort. I got friggin mad then. I was
going to go easy on him because he was younger, but I brought out toons and started destroying
him life point by life point. I attacked the aqua madoor he had equipped to his relinquished
with bazoo and attacked it with summoned skull. I won.
2-0-0
I did a lot of trades in between matches here. I traded my ultra rare summoned skull
for axe of despair and prohibition. I watched a match between this kid who had evey card from
skull servant to the god cards. I read that they're not authorized for tournament play yet, but
he used obelisk anyway. He was also just making up effects as he went along like, when Obelisk
is summoned, It destroys all the monsters on the field and does 8000 direct LP damage.I told
him off with his grandpa right behind him. I dont care. He was taking advantage of stealing
cards from younger kids. Everyone he played he made them agree to a submission rule.(whomever
wins gets to take a card from the loser) He never played anyone older than him. Until now that
is.
Match 3 My toons vs. Jacob(god card deck)
He used a god beatdown. This match was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Thankfully I got matched up with
him. Just like I planned, he pulled out obelisk pretty quick. Thankfully, I had kiseitai in my
hand as well as MEB. Like a moron, he attacks my kiseitai. 2000 LP for me every turn. HA HA HA
I play defensively for like 4 turns. Thankfully, he didn't have any LV. 4 mosters in his hand.
I decide to play MEB face down. I had like 27,000 LP by then. He attacks it like a doofus.
Obelisk is gone. I chose not to bring out toons this match. I decide to humiliate him with
really weak monsters.(Hane-hane,MoF) I really wished I couldve brought out relinquished in this
match. I was slowly picking off LP. I decided not to take any cards from him. Just the fact that
I beat him was good enough for me. I only had one more match to go.
3-0-0
Chris lost unfortunately. Oh well, he will be back next week. His sister was pretty good
as well. She only had one flaw- 3 cosmo queens. I got another booster of magic ruler. My rare
was Hiro's shadow scout. I did some side decking to prepare for the final round. I tried to get
everyone to trade me a buster blader, but nobody would. The kid in the final round was supposed
to be the best ever. I chose not to believe that. Thankfully I got the destiny board piece Chris
needed out of a booster(what are the odds?) and I give him it.
Final round Tomkat vs. Jack(what's with all the names starting with "J"¿?)
This was a good beatdown. This was tougher than most others. I started by activating toon world and tributing a
toon mermaid and jirai gumo for toon blue eyes. I had an awesome hand. He plays a card in
defense and no cards f/d. I play an axe on toon blue eyes. I then play wall and tribute it for
toon skull. I attack for a whopping 4000. I then play a magic jammer face down. He scarifices
for a jinzo. that screwed me.(or so i thought)he plays mystical space typhoon to destroy toon
world. He attacks directly for 2400. I draw yet another toon world. I activate it and summon
another toon skull by sacrificing toon mermaid. I give him a malevolent nuzzler. He summons
beaver warrior(in attack mode?!) and equips him with a horn of unicorn and sword of deepseated
I draw and play graceful charity. I then play prohibition. I prohibit last warrior from another
planet. He plays with his fusion deck face up. When I was shuffling, I saw the cards needed to
bring him out. He says "How the heck did you know I use that card." I simply tell him that a lot
of people use it. I attack directly for 3200. He gives up.
The final match was the only one with the best out of 3. I side decked to prepare.
Final round: round 2
It was just plain screwy this round. On his first turn, he plays destiny board(?) and a
monster in defense. Thankfully I draw confiscation. He had every piece in his hand(?!). I get
rid of "I". I play a giant soldier in def. mode. Magic jammer face down. He plays spirit message
I (okay now its just getting old) and the masked beast ritual.(oh crap!) I jam it. It kept going
back and forth until I couldnt get rid of destiny board so he won.
I came stocked with mystical space typhoons and remove traps.
Final round: round 3
I started off with an unbeatable hand. 2x toon world, 2x toon mermaid, 2x toon skull.
I activate both toon worlds and tribute both toon mermaids for toon skulls and end my turn.
He plays destiny board yet again. Plays a monster in defense. I draw and get mystical space
typhoon. I decide to let him get several pieces in play so I can knock them all out at once.
I attack for 5000 direct damage. He then plays heavy storm(?¿?¿?) for some reason. I then found
out about the blue-eyes that was in his hand. He attacks for 3000. That dropped me down to 2000.
I draw... CHANGE OF HEART!!! I then play it and attack his LP directly for the win.
