This is Red XIII with my deck Cosmo Memory (most powerfulest
limit breaker of this character of FF7, meaning my deck has reached its full
potential).
Destination 1:
1st match: Won- Kevin (Avalanche's Life Stream)
Kevin who
built a quite effective and strong control Barrel has no switched into one of
the most played decks currently [Hand Contro] he built a nice hand control
which has the ability to easily defeat his opponent and leave them handless
shaking and pouding their head on the table. Easily said he is one of the good
duelists with a decent deck which is not to be messed with. Playing him in the
first round surprised me as I have never really played vs. his new deck much
but I have a few times and he hasn't taken a match vs
me yet so this is a replay of what usually happens. Me
winning 2-0 as my tomatoes madly pulled out don zaloog(s) yes I do have
multiple copies of this rare and wanted cards of many hand controls. He is left
handless in matter of seconds as I begin to rip through his lifepoints bringing
me the game towards this top notch avalanche member.
2nd match: Won- Asian teen (Beatdown)
Damn this
guy isnot bad... He brings me down to a low low lifepoint pretty quickly but
that makes him lack of a decent hand or probably no hand. As both duels he
slaps equip cards onto his buff beatdown monsters bringing me lower then 2000.
I slowly regain my control and start clearing everything on the field and the
everso dreaded yata pops out and lock him in the ever so dreaded prison like
cage of death. Second duel he slowly see's that slapping all his cards on the
field was not a good idea as he slowly played his things out knowing that slow
and steady wins the race as his larger monsters began pecking at my little
monsters picking on monsters that are not their own size and soon I was pecked
and chipped my way to death. 3rd duel I guess his confidence went back up as he
begins dropping everything and left handless... need I say more? 2-1
3rd match: Won- Another Asian teen (Hand Control beatdown)
Well 4
people left in the tournament. Coming with 4 avalanche members 2 has made it
into the semi finals at different sides brackets. So
this guy was in my way to victory as I began playing this guy slapped equips
and cleared my field with many revival cards as he brought my lifepoints down
to 0 in matter of turns. Damn... lost the first one, chances are it will be
hard for me to win 2 in a row. Especially vs. this guy that has truely showed
some skills in dueling. Second duel, man i was down to 2000 as he was up at
7200 with 2 cards in his hands, 2 cards set (M/T), Bazoo pumped and kycoo
United as I have nothing but a single last draw, as I thought of heart of the
cards thinking a fiber jar could be the only possible thing my deck to save me and... what do you know? I don't get it... nah just kidding I get
it and set it down. Whew! slowly coming back with
minor pecking and closely watchin my lifepoints not allowing small monsters to
get shifted to attack mode playing flawless and I came back and took this duel.
3rd and final duel, not good for me as he gets the advantage of goin first as
he played a pot of greed + graceful charity and leading up with a delinqent
duo. Leaving me with 3 cards bein graceful charity + delinqent duo + drain.
Well I slowly came back regained my hand disrupting his hand and stalling for a
bit until I recieved my staples wiped the field and stole his bazoo pumped it
up and hit him hard... Left him with 1000 lifepoints.
Flipped over ring, ringed my witch. GOod Game.
4th match: Tie- Edmund (Avalanche's Seipheroth)
So once
again this tournament is gonna be taken by an avalanche member. Well since the
owner gave this free tournament for fun, so second place takes a soda and first
places gets a corn dog. I didn't want to eat a corn dog so I took the soda and
gave Edmund the corn dog and called it tie. Came to get free food =)
Destination 2:
1st match: Won- Mexican dude (Retro Beatdown)
Man... I
haven't seen some of these nice cards that are in old beatdowns for a while. I
go first I set a bluff snatchsteal down and a witch in facedown def. He tribute
to the dooms, then I wonder wut type of deck he could be running as he discards
his jinzo, following up with a nobleman of extermination my my face down m/t.
As I begin to soon see la jinns eating up my lifepoints I come back at a mere
1400 and take this duel by putting this guy in the cage of yata. Second duel, I
was surprised that this retro beatdown taken this duel vs me. As he played dark
elves with united and magepower and rips straight at my lifepoints killing me
helplessly depleting my lifepoints. Third duel was a clear repitition of the
first duel even seeing my hand it was quite similar 2-1.
2nd match: Won- Sean (Hand Control)
Sean is 1
of the great duelists that I have faced during my dueling experiences as he has
never been a victim of my deck. The first week he comes while I was the store
champion of World of Books he meets me up in the championship round and locks
me 2-0. Seeing him doing such an embarrasing thing to me I decided to make
myself better for him the next time he comes. A few weeks later he returns and
I face him off in the semi-finals and he once again takes me out 2-0. Man what
a guy, I really give this guy props. Then I refuse to think he is that great
and one day I decided to play for keeps since I have never lost playing for keeps.
Again a 2-0!!!! =( he then takes my cards. O.K This really sucks as the host for this tournament calls out
Donald you play Sean. As I thought I was hopelessly in a defeat prison but I
try, I try. So here it goes, he gets the flip and he sets a
m/t and a witch facedown. My turn I drew a card and first MST his facedown
Mirror Force and noble his witch. Then foreful and delinqent duo leavin him
with a creature swap in his hand then I summon yata. 1 turn locked in amazement
he was like what the? *puzzled look* O.K I feel that was a fluke because I
can't really be beating this guy. So next duel we both take ups and downs as he
depletes my hand and I deplete his. Soon I regain my control and smack him hard
with his bazoo and my mystic tomatoe and don zaloog leaving him low as I set my
new card I drew (ring of destruction) I end my turn. Flip ring target mystic
tomatoe. good game your life points are in the
negative section as man is at a mere 1000 or so. Whew 2-0.
3rd match: Won- Nick (_______ a
unspoken deck Avalanche's Cloud)
Nick plays
a deck I have constructed and is mines. Since he quit yu-gi-oh I have made a
fun deck for him to use in tournaments and such but the cost of this is he has
a free deck but whenever he encounters me he forfeits. SO
nothing to say here.
4th match: Won- Brandon (Most successful Gravekeeper deck I
seen Avalanche's Cait Sith)
He also
forfeits to me asking for a pack. A few guys ask him why he had done this and
he replys that Donald is slightly better then me so we usually reach finals or
so and we forfeit to each other allowing one of us to take the tournament for
the alliance. thanks man ^^
5th match: Won- Deen (Swarm Beatdown)
Wow this
deck hurts it really hurts. First duel as he brings me down to 600 in 2 turns
with united and a massive amount of germs and bazoo + elf. So I knew I couldnt
put anything in attack mode or else He will slam his germs into it and I will
lose so I have to plan this one out. As I began to stall as
much as possible and thinking of strategies. I begin to put sinister and
behemoth down to defense as they blocked many attacks. I have 2 kuribohs in my
hand just in case and a witch down. He has 3 monsters on the field. He hits
witch and I grab fiber jar. He says its game as jinzo and bazoo hit but I say "no".
He says "attack, attack" *moving his jinzo and bazoo foward* as I
drop my 2 kuribohs. He looks confused thinking I am a
amaeture duelists since everyone here ran beatdowns with the ideas of my store
like half a year ago. This place is so not updated and soon the fiber jar pulls
through and planning and thinkin about every move as I played flawless like the
legendary Serf and Bandit Keif taking this duel keeping my lifepoints at an
untouched 600 bringing him from 8000 to 0. Nothing to say about the second
duel, but let's say germs + bazoo with united = good game. remember
that formula. Everyone crowds around watching the final duel of the champion
round as this outsider (me goes vs an elite duelist of their store). This is
the point where everything gets turned around. He wacks my
tomatoe hard with a parshath ouch. What can i do as I see a monster
reborn in my hand, imperial down and call of the haunted, so I have decided I
pull out don zaloog. He snatch steals this don zaloog on his mainphase 2. I
look at my facedown imperial and say ok. O.K this guy has brought my brain into
a state of pain because these duels took up to a total of 1 hour I can't make
any mistakes as I draw and recieve a ring of destruction and gaining a thousand
putting me from 2500 to 3500. I sit for a while and think how can I do this. As I finally thought of a
way to win. First I monster reborn his bazoo pump it up 3. Call of the
haunted my other don zaloog. Put down twin headed behemoth activate imperial
order now my field has bazoo + don zaloog + don zaloog+ behemoth from nothing.
As I kill his parshath with the bazoo and don zaloog rips through his hand
making him handless and he tells me he is now down to 2300 after all the
attacks. I let out a slight smile as i set a M/T down.
I end my turn. Flip Ring of Destruction targeting bazoo. Whew!! Good game. This
guy is tough. So now I get 3 packs which I handed it all out because I owed my
fellow members packs so I end up with no packs. It's ok the pride in beating
tournaments is a great prize...
Props:

-Props to all our members
-Nick for doing decent with my weak/fun deck
