The Report:

Now I have been coming to this tourney for about 2 months and have never gotten further than like round 3.  So my hopes coming into this tourney were to just do decent.  And maybe pull something nice out of my booster pack.  (Oh yeah $5 admission, free booster for all, 3 for winners)  One duel matches.

Round 1

E-Coon vs. Some Guy(Strange deck)
Well this round blew.  I saw a total of one useful monsters, my faithful spear dragon.  He fell victim to the annoying fairy box.  This guy also Nobleman of X-outed my only 2 flips I drew.  I lost pretty fast.  Onto the consolation bracket.

E-Coon vs. Mike(Beatdown)
This guy is pretty cool but unluckily for him I beat him in like 4 turns.  My spear Dragons went to work on his defenses.  He stopped drawing monsters after like the first turn so I wasted him.  Imperial Order did me my only 700 damage.

E-Coon vs. Name(Stall deck)
Same case, he got a few useless flip monsters and spear dragon destroyed his lifepoints fast.  He confused me by saying something about chaining Torrential tribute to heavy storm?!  Sorry pal a monster has to be summoned first.

E-Coon vs. Another Kid(man I should remember these guys names) Clump of Trash Deck
How did this guy get to this match?!  This was the match to win this bracket and it boggled my mind.  He must have had 90 cards in his deck, including fusions, F-I-N-A-L, stall, and everything else.  He drew NO monsters.  I think I won by attacking with Harpies Brother and Nimble momongas.  Terrible.

E-Coon vs.  Eric Woo(Beatdown)
Now this guys deck was uncannily similar to mine.  He used the nimbles and everything.  But his strategy was a little off.  We had a looong wait before the next round so we played 2 duels.  I Spear Dragoned his monsters like none other.  He never attacked them in defense mode either!  So i just kept switching them back and attacking.

Next round was more of the same.  My nimbles did some work on him.  I went for a spurt with no monsters but I Imperial Ordered his Magic.  I think h played maybe 2 magic cards while it was out too so they went to the graveyard.  he was down to 1000 LP when he played Premature Burial, paid 800, to get his WotBF back and he attacked m directly.  He had no face downers.  I drew my WotBF.  (Come on now how hard is it to draw a monster with 200 more attack points, really?!) so i summoned her in attack mode.  Next turn he attack so I played blast with chain to boost her 500 ATK and won.  Get this, he asks for a replay!  What?  I’m sorry that is not a replay situation.

E-Coon vs. Justin ( Deck better than mine)
Okay heres the deal.  Justin sits down and says to me if I’ll forfeit he’ll give me a free card from his collection because he promised another guy the 3 free packs for winning if the guy will give him a Helpoemer.  I said give me a minute to think about it.  In the meantime my friend Jon asks to look at Justins deck and he says ok.  Jon turns to me and say that I’m gonna get killed so I said I’d forfeit just let me see your notebook and I’ll pick a card.  So i picked a few and he said no.  So I said lets just play anyways.  By now Im fairly sure I’ll lose.  So I go first, I play Delinquent Duo(The savior) and pick a giant germ, he happened to have 2 in his hand so he ditches the other too.  I set 2 traps and end turn.  He goes and summons a La Jinn I think but I bottomless trap hole it.  I play Feather duster and he chains dust tornado to my Cylinder, poo.  I summon a Harpies Brother and attack.  He summons Injection fairy Lily (god shes great, ive pulled 3 from packs but have traded 2 and 1 was stolen) and kills my brother.  Because of Delinquent and Feather Duster he has NO cards in his hand.  I set a Magician of faith and end my turn.  he does not attack and ends his turn.  I flip her to get a magic back, but that doesnt matter because I sac her for Summoned Skull and equip him with Axe and Mage and set a card to make him a 4000 ATK and I attack his fairy.  He has to pay for her effect but she still dies.  He draws a useless card and concedes!!!  I won.  and he was beyond angry.

To top things off I pull a Helpoemer in one of my free boosters.  Hows that for a good night?
