Hey I am MC, this is my first tournament report.  In this tournament you play a 1 of 1 match.  So if you lose, you're eliminated, and the victor moves on.

Before I begin, I would like to mention I managed to trade my Needle Worm for Breaker, Heavy Storm, and Swords.  Those three are cards I really needed.  On to the report.

 

Round 1

MC vs. Armetta (thats his last name)-Dragon Deck/Beatdown

 

This duel was pretty easy.  He started off the duel by playing Delinquent Duo, and discarding my Breaker, making me quite angry.  I drew my card, and I got Imperial Order.  I laid it down, played Sangan face down, and it was his turn.  He tried using Tribute to the Doomed, but I negated it.  I saw that he had Monster Reborn when he tried using TTTD, so I knew I had to pay.  He originally had Lord of D. out, and was going to use his Flute, but IO was on the field, so he was stuck.  I flipped Sangan, summoned Don Zaloog, and did 1200 to him.  It was pretty much game from there.  He couldn't do anything because he didn't have any monsters to summon.

Him:  8000-6800-4400-5400 (restored some of his LP-3700-2000-0

 

Round 2

MC vs. Elliot Stein

 

Now I had faced Elliot before, and he runs a very well played Control deck.  We had faced each other in the Finals, and I managed to win that duel.  He pretty much slaughtered me.  He used Fiber Jar early on, and I got a terrible hand from that.  He summoned Yata, and locked me.  I tried using Monster Reborn to get one of my monsters back, but he IO'd it.  He proceeded to Yata-Lock me.  Talk about retribution eh?

 

Me:  8000-7000-5100-4900 (forfeited after being locked)

Him:  8000

 

I was eliminated early, and I was hoping to get at least farther then the second round.  It was a fun night after that.
