Notes: Ok, this is my second tournament report, and I lost count of the number of tournaments I
went to, because I go every week. Until today, the tournament host always forced us to play in tag teams, with 2 to 5 people in each team; or a 3 way duel, where 3 people would battle against each other, and they also allowed Japanese cards. So the tournaments were (are) unofficial and not really fun. Today the tournament was single elimination, and as I promised, I did a lot better by dueling only 1 opponent. They still allowed japs though.

Notes about my deck: Ok I don’t know what to call my deck, so I called it pretty mix. Why? Well most of my cards are rare and above, and I love foil lettering and holographic images. The deck is technically a beatdown, but it has so many elements in it, and not enough beat down monsters, so I called it a mix. It’s beat down, card depletion, field/monster removal, recycle, very little burner, hand disruption, dark, and effect. The only type of deck that I loose to most of the times is exodia. I can beat all other decks, even if they can beat me.

Round 1 - Me vs little kid #1

*1st match - this match was really simple. From the beginning of the duel, he didnt put ANY
monster on the field, and the only high attack monster I had was la jin. All I did was attack with la jni every turn untill he ran out of LP, so it was pretty boring.
*2nd match - this match was pretty boring too. The kid drew a bunch of monsters this time. From my first draw I got man eater, raigeki, dark hole, monster reborn, la jin and something else. He played Harpie's bro, which i fissured and monster reborned, and attacked with him and my la jin. He played something in defense, i used raigeki and attacked again, and ended by setting my bug. Well, it's pretty obvious what happened next turn, i destroyed him with my bug and won with la jin and bro.

Round 2 - Me vs little kid #2
*1st match - why do these little kids even bother to play, they tore their cards, never learn now to play and most likely quit. Anyway... this kid had a big deck stuffed with any cards he could find, like skull servants, niwatoris, liquid beast, etc.. He didn't know the rule of tributing and drawing, so what can i say... I won..
*2nd match - like the 1st one.
*WINNER - ME

Round 3 - me vs blonde guy with a cap.
*1st match - this guy didn't know all the rules (...) but had a decent deck with some random cards. I watched this guy duel exodia deck, and the exodia dude lost because he decked out. The match was similar to the second match of round 1, except he caught me with no monsters on the field a bunch of times. He destroyed my Jinzo and reborned it, and I had to go on the defensive untill I drew something like Raigeki, I forgot what. Well anyway, next turn his field was clean, I called my haunted Jinzo, monster reborned a la jin, and i had mask of darkness face up, so those 3 finished him.
*2nd match - replay of the 1st match
*WINNER - ME

Round 4 - me vs relinquished deck. Semi finals
*1st match - this was my first tough oponent. I kinda don't like this guy, because he laughed at some of my moves, which PISSED ME OFF AND I KICKED HIS ASS IN THE END! He won this match by simply getting relinquished and sucking up my Jinzo, he also had some other monsters which finished me pretty fast since I didnt draw anything good.
*2nd match - We had a little arguement this duel. I destroyed his face down sonic bird, and he started to search his deck. I was like, what the hell are you doing? He started explaining when you attack face down, you're flip summoning that, and i said hell no, flip summon is when you flip it into attack mode, etc etc, so he shuffled the ritual back in his deck. That pissed me off even more. But anyway, for 3 turns he didnt draw a single monster, and I won pretty easy by attacking with harpie and la jin.
*3rd match - This match was similar to the 2nd match, except I did a nice combo with my cannon soldier. I used all my reborn cards, cleared his field, attacked, and tributed all of the monsters for a total of like 6000 damage, and won.

Round 5 - me vs Jackass with exodia. Finals
*1st match - Ok, this guy is a total jerk, he laughed at my trap masters and said "anyone who's playing those, shouldnt be playing this game". Then he argued with me about magic drain, but that was ok i guess, and since now i'm an official exodia hater, i hated his deck also. When I was about to duel in round 4, he wanted to disqualify me because he said I stacked my deck. All i did was put a magic or a trap after each monster, and then shuffle pretty well. I said, fine, i'll shuffle it again, or even better, you shuffle it. That satisfied him, but we all know he just wanted less contestants! Ok anyway... He had a lot of crap like counter traps, and messenger of peace. He only played gravity bind tho, and that's what saved him since he had his field wide open for a bunch of turns while i had a lot of la jins and barrel dragon in my hand. I didnt draw my Hayabusa... This match was boring, cuz all I could do is draw, and i didnt get any dust tornados or heavy storms this match. we drawed untill he got all exodia pieces and won.
2nd match - I did a bit better this match... I got a barrel dragon out, and cleared his witches and sangans and shit which helped him of coursem but i attacked with cards like man eater and magician of faith. At one point he used solemn judgement and payed 2 turns for his imperial order, so he was down less than 2000 or 3000 LP, i forgot, and I had hayabusa out, but he played the painfull choice-backup soldier combo and won.
