First I have to give credit to Edo and his Yu-gi-oh translations. Without him and his message boards, I would probably have given up on Yu-gi-oh a long time ago. All translations are from his site and I have to give all credit to him. Translations for the cards are all the way at the end of the bottom of the report.
I went to my first tourney with a buddy of mine in college with his g/f's hyper little brother. My friend was there for the English tourney after the hybrid one. His g/f's little bro actually took down notes during the matches, so it sorta helped me out typing this report out. This report is pretty detailed from beginning to end so I hope you guys enjoy it.

***Description***
The Deck: I get most of my cards on Ebay and my friends so there's a random mix of Japanese and English cards. The deck is a modified version of a Good Hand Deck in Japan (Basically the best cards in one deck) with hand destruction and Card Crush as a theme. While not entirely original, it's fun to play never the less.
One of the most dangerous cards in this deck is the 8 Giant Crows. If I nail my opponent with this card, he loses his draw phase. Combined with some hand destruction, the crow is just broken given the right circumstances. Another card is Angel's Gift with its powerful card advantage ability. Even though you have to discard 2 cards afterwards, you could always combo it with a Reborn or even with Cry of the Haunted.
Another card worth mentioning is Spirit Mirror. It's a trap that allows me to change the target of another player to me. If they play Raigeki, I could just flip it over and play it on them instead or use the Pot of Greed they just played. It's pretty useful and great to use in a free for all.
What could be improved is focusing the Discard theme with Don Zurgs, White Magical Hats, and Axe of Dispairs. Vanilla creatures could be replaced with Newt and Breaker, but then again, the deck already cost me a bundle already. Last I checked Newts were going for $80 a pop...
***Tourney***
1st Round: Beatdown (Age: 32)
Game 1: My opponent has the basic beatdown deck, but packs a couple of American Mechanical Chasers and even has a Morphing Jar. He told me he won em all off from Ebay so I can only assume he knew what he was doing in his games.
First game didn't go so well since he pulled out a Pot of Greed and played Delinquent Duo and The Forceful Sentry on the first turn. My hand was basically crippled and all I had was Heavy Storm, 8 Giant Crows, other craptacular draws. I was eventually killed off by Man Eater Bugs (took out my face down) Jinzo, and Mechanical Chasers with Axes on em. He thought I just a begginner and offered me some random cards from his binder...*ugh*
Game 2: He pulled the same hand again practically, minus the Pot of Greed. I was really pissed at the chances of that happening again. He set up his Goblins in attack mode. I played Initiate Troops and tribune it to kill off his Goblins. I played Magical Cylinders face down with MST face down as well without any creatures to defend me. He drew a Pot of Greed (the chances...) played 1 trap and played another set of Goblins and set 2 Axes on them. He attacked with them but I negated the attack with the Cylinder trap. The 4300 attack hurt him instead bringing him down to 3700. At first he indirectly accused me of cheating and miswording the card since it was Japanese...even though Japanese cards were allowed for the tourney. My buddy whipped out the Magazine article by Edo and showed him the translation. He was talk'n smack behind his breath so I followed up taking out his trap with MST. I destroyed his Mirror Force and right there I had a chance. With nothing on his field on my turn, I played Change of heart on his Goblin for the win.
Game 3: I finally got to go first (asked to cut each other's decks of course) and I played Confiscation. He had a hand full of La Jins, Jinzo, Summoned Skulls, and Heavy Storm. I took away his Heavy Storm and set down Card Crush/Imperial Order face down with Gemini Elf on Attack mode. He drew Pot of Greed again and tried to play Snatch Steal. I flipped over IO and that pretty much stopped his strategy. He placed a face down monster and ended his turn. I stopped paying for the IO's cost and discarded it. I drew Fiber Pod and decided to save it for later. I attacked with the Gemini's only to reveal a Cyber Jar. He drew some La Jins, Man Eater Bug, Raigeki, Axe of Dispair, and a Heavy Storm. I scored a Kuriboh, Delinquent Duo, Nobleman of Crossout and 2 Gemini Elf. I immediately sacrificed Kuriboh to Card Crush and took out over half his hand and half his field. I played delinquent to take out his Axe and Heavy storm. I played Nobleman to clear out his man eaters in his deck. Back to his turn, he drew a Mechanical Chaser but was forced to discard it from Card Crush. He played his last card in his hand Raigeki, and cleared my field. During my turn I drew 8 Giant Crows...basically game over, but he demanded to see the translation. After a few minutes reading it, he demanded me to continue playing until he was dead.
I thought he was just being annoying to make the game longer but then I noticed that he was trying to deck me out before I could kill him. Since the Crows come back to my hand at the end of the turn, I have to resummon it every turn, which means I can't do more then 200 damage per turn. With his 8000 HP and my Deck at less then 30, it might be possible...but I guess he forgot about Monster Reborn. I eventually drew it, got his Skull for the win.
End Result: 1 Win
2st Round: Maho Vailo Deck (Age: 20)
Game 1: Basically, his deck revolves around Maho, Axes, Megamorphs, and alotta Counterspells (IO, MJ, MD, and SJ) to keep it alive and making the Morph bonus bigger.
First game was quick since he drew a hand full of traps and didn't realize that I had 1900 creatures. He laid down a about 3 traps and a La Jin in attack. I tried playin MST but he played Magic Drain immediately. So I played Angel's gift afterwards, he played Magic Drain again. So I decided to play my second MST face down with Card Crush and played my Elf in attack. He played an axe on his La Jin and killed my elf dealing some damage to me. He placed his last card down and I immediately MST it. It was a Solem's Judgement and I was super happy. During my turn I drew a Cyber Jar and placed it face down again. During his turn he attacked immediately and the Cyber jar blew up. He got Mahos out with some Goblins and Raigeki and Dark hole. I scored Critter, Spirit Mirror, Kuriboh, Blood Vors, and IO. He attacked and I played Card Crush with the Critter (Searched my deck for Lily). It basically wiped his field of creatures. He then played Dark Hole and ended his turn. I played IO face down with Spirit Mirror and Attacked with Lily for 3400. I lost 2000 but it made him worry. On his turn he drew a pot of greed, but I used Spirit Mirror on myself for the bonus. I drew Harpy's Feather and Nobleman. He played Raigeki and I flipped over IO. From there on, we had a few pokes back and forth but I managed a win.
Game 2: I didn't remember much after this since it was so straightforward. I played a Delinquent Duo first turn and pretty much screwed him up. 1800 creature vs. 1900 creature...not really interesting game. We didn't draw anything we wanted but I eventually won beating him down with vanilla creatures and Jinzo in play.
End Result: 2 wins
Finals: Ultimate Blue Eyes Deck (Age: 20)
Honestly, I lost really bad. I played against a friend of mine back in Highschool.
Game 1: I drew a bland hand without anything amazing except for a Goblin and a Mirror Force. When it was my friend's turn, I was screwed. He played Angel's Gift twice in his turn and played Heavy Storm, Change of heart and Devil Franken. He immediately Stormed, Changed and whipped out his Ultimate Blue Eyes (while dropping down to 3000) and attacked with all 3 for well...alot. I couldn't do much next turn with Nobleman sitting in my hand.....lost.
Game 2: He went first and redid the combo again with Devil Franken and Ultimate Blue. He laid 2 traps down and it was my go. I tried to play Initiate Troops but he flipped over a Solem's Judgement. Then I tried Angel's Gift and was greeted with IO. He drew out a Pot of Greed, played Angel's Gift, and finally Megamorphed his Ultimate Blue at 9000 attack...lost
End Result: 2 wins/ 1 lost
Since it was a Japanese/English Tourney, the prizes were lame. Everyone that entered got one booster of their choice. Second place got 3 Boosters and First got 6 boosters.
I got nothing but junk cards outta my Blue Eyes packs.
