Okay, I'd first just like to say that I had a tourney record of 16-9 coming 
into this one. I had just bought a Jammer right b4 the tourney started, so i 
was confident. BTW, the tourney was so large that it had to be split into a 
JR. bracket (kids 12 and under) and a masters bracket (13 and up). I'm 14, so 
i had to be in the masters bracket. Grrrrr....

Round 1
Dark Master Sanzo (me) vs. Eddie (burn/beatdown)
This kid ran over 100 cards in his deck. I kinda already knew his strategy, 
so it was gonna be EZ.
Duel 1: he went first and used 3 Ookazis on turn 1. although he had the lead 
for a while, the turning point was when i got my SS out. i finished him with 
Raigeki and TttD.

Duel 2: the only damage he ever got on me was when he used tremendous fire on 
turn 1. other than that, i dominated.

Dark Master Sanzo vs. Carlos (burn/stall)
i thought this guy was good cuz he was friends with erik, the top player in 
the store whom i had swept out of the second round the previous tourney. Duel 1: he had even weaker direct damage cards than Eddie. i mean Hinotama? 
come on. anyway, i had 3850 LP left while he had 1450. it was his turn. he 
had Mystical Elf in face-up defense. he put a Sword of Deep-Seated on it to 
keep my nuzzler-pumped dark zebra from killing it. but i used solemn judgment 
on the sword and won next turn.

he could have turned the tide with his change of heart but i jammed it and 
won the next turn.

Dark Master Sanzo vs. Mitch (control/fusion deck)
i got to witness mitch in his 2nd round match cuz mine took about 10 minutes. 
his deck looked scary. the last time i had faced him back on 11/2/02, he 
swept me out of the 1st round cuz of exodia. but he wasnt running exodia 
anymore which i hoped would give me the edge.

Duel 1: I had the lead for a while, just couldnt hold onto it. his 
gravekeeper's servant and hayabusa w/Axe did me in

Duel 2: he got out BSD early and crushed me with it. i almost won with Mirror 
force, tho. if only he hadnt switched BSD to defense before attacking with 
SS...
