1st Match: Tim Ferno vs. Chris
The
tournament started off by pitting me against a new comer. He looked a little unsure of himself, so my
conscience told me to hold back. He
played a good match, but I stood my ground and prevailed.
Tim
Ferno:
8000-7800-7000-6300
Chris: 8000-7000-4500-2000-0
This
round I still pulled some of my punches but he still ended up losing. He did well though for a newbie!
Tim
Ferno: 8000
2nd Match: Tim Ferno vs. Anthony
This
guy is David’s friend, who I beat two tournaments ago, (check last report). He was a very competitive duelist and at
times I felt a little nervous. He used
classic beatdown w/ Relinquished. I
ended up winning this round w/ a final burst of rage from my monsters at the
end of the round.
Tim
Ferno: 8000-7000-6200
Anthony: 8000-4200-4100-0
This
was my first loss of the tournament. He
ended it w/ absorbing my monster using Relinquished and leaving me open for the
kill.
Tim
Ferno: 8000-5500-3000-2250-1250-250-0
Anthony: 8000-5500-4500
The round was definitely a close call. He attacked w/ many little amounts of damage while I attacked w/ high amounts only a few times. In the end, I emerged victorious.
Tim
Ferno: 8000-5500-5300-4500-2500
Anthony: 8000-4600-300-0
(Note: After the battle, I found out that David
retired from duel monsters after I beat him.
That’s somewhat sad.)
Semi-Final Match: Tim Ferno vs. R-21
This
kid was also a newbie, but he was very powerful. He used a fiend deck w/ Yata-Garasu, Ha Des, and Dark
Necrofear. He ended up destroying me w/
Yata!
Tim
Ferno: 8000-7800-7600-7400-7200-7000-6800-6600-6400-6200-6000-5800-5600-5400-5200-5000-4800-4600-4400-4200-4000-3800-3600-3400-3200-3000-2800-2600-2400-2200-2000-1800-1600-1400-1200-1000-800-600-400-200-0
R-21: 8000-5600-4600
In
this round he used a lot of cards that drained his life points by the
thousands. He kept doing this until he
had 2000 life points. At that time I
finished him of w/ my Jinzo.
Tim
Ferno: 8000
R-21: 8000-7000-6000-4000-2000-0
This
round was all him. He finished me off
with a barrage from his Dark Ruler and my Jinzo he Snatch Stole from me.
Tim
Ferno: 8000-7200-4900-4350-4150-1750-0
R-21: 8000-6000-5200-5100
Final Match: Tim Ferno vs. AJ
(This
match was for 3rd place, since we both lost in the Semi-Final
round.)
This
kid had beaten me out of last week’s tournament, so today I was looking for a
little revenge! He used all the fiends
(Yata-Garasu, Ha Des, and Dark Necrofear).
It was a grueling match all the way.
I ended up out numbering him w/ my monsters and scoring the first win.
Tim
Ferno: 8000-5700-4900-3900
AJ: 8000-5700-3800-1900-0
This was just like the last match only one main difference. I found out this kid played a Morphing Jar in his deck! Now, if you ever go to Emerald City you won’t see too many of those rare cards. The bad thing about this game (bad for him, I mean) was that I used my Nobleman of Crossout on him (boy, having a $125.00 card destroyed by a $3.00 card has really got to suck!). Victor: Me!
Tim
Ferno: 8000-5500-3600
AJ: 8000-4400-3400-2400-0
