This was as sanctioned UD
tournament. $5 entry fee and get a
TP3 pack. The owner Skip has moved to his new shop and it has lots of room for
tournaments. I made a few changes from my last report. I tried to incorporate a
lot of the Pharonic Guardian cards. Unfortunately I lost some focus from my
deck. I also traded for a Morphing Jar the week before and had to put it in
here. Thanks to everyone for their input. Here it is:

It is a warrior based
lock down deck and the magic cards allow me to search for any monster in my
deck depending on the situation. My strategy is to control the field with
either TLWFAP or Marauding Captain and then attack their LP directly with Inaba
WR or Hayabusa. The tournament was double-elimination. The Winner got a Booster
box.
Round 1 - TLW vs. a kid
named Josh (Newbie)
1st Duel:
LP - Me 8000
Him-8000-7300-6600-4600-1900-0
He started off with a
full field of M/T and no Monster. I played Inaba and HFD his M/t. Second round he set
more M/T and I didnÕt draw a Monster so I InabaWR again. Third round no monsters for him
and I got Hayabusa out and attacked for 2000. Same thing for next 2 rounds.
Hayabusa and Inaba WR. Josh never set a monster.
1-0
2nd Duel:
LP- Me Š 8000-7200
Him - 8000-5100-2900-0
Pretty much the same
result except I used Fiend Megacyber too accomplish it
2-0
After we were done I
talked to him about his deck and why he never got any monsters out. It turns
out he had 10 tribute level monsters in his deck. He couldnÕt set a monster
because he had nothing to tribute for it. I offered him some suggestions to
improve his deck for the next tournament.
Round 2 - TLW vs. Thomas
(Tyrant Dragon Deck)
IÕve played Thomas
before. Last tourney he beat me with the same deck. This time I sided in Buster
Blader.
1st Duel:
LP- Me - 8000-5150-3000-0
Him - 8000-6150
I drew a handful of M/T
and no monsters. When I did get a monster and attacked it was a MEB. He got out
two Tyrant dragons and that was it.
2-1
2nd Duel:
LP- Me - 8000-4600-0
Him - 8000-7000
This round went fairly
quick. I got monsters out. He CoH one, tributed it and got out a high level
attacker. I tried to Rageiki, he Magic Jammed it. He Rageiki me I got out
Imperial order and he Seven tools it. After that it was over.
2-2
Tournament Overall: I
changed the warrior deck too much. I need to go back and retool and adjust my
strategy and reduce the size of the deck.
Props & Slops:
Props:
- To Skip for a great
tourney every week.
- To me for trading a HFD
for a Great Dezaard.
- For drawing Needle Worm
from my TP3 pack.
Slops:
- For changing my deck
too much
