Tournament Date: 7/27/03 (According to
the Serf and David the Season is currently on Hiatus): Today the New Cait Sith
takes turn at taking the tournament; Me over throwing Red IXX as the Yata
master I come here take the tournament and put every person I play in the bird
cage (a.k.a the dreaded Yata lock) at least once or both times.
Match 1: By
I got
a by this round so no playing for me just checking out the competition.
Match 1: Unorthadoxed vs. Nick (Beatdown)
Not to be affiliated with Nick of Avalanche
Duel 1:
The duel starts of bad I draw a hand of
all magic cards then I draw a graceful and then I draw a tomato I’m force to
discard some staples. But its ok I didn’t think I could win this one. I try to
fight back as good as possible I kuriboh a lily but get messed up with jinzo and some beatdown monsters.
Duel 2:
I
start this duel of nicely with a pot of greed, graceful charity and delinquent
duo. Then set down a tomato with a drain. He plays a pot of greed I drain it
can’t pay then he smacks the tomato with a goblin and I bust out a tomato. Then
the Terror of the tomatoes Begins to decimate his goblin force along with the
help of the Spirit Reaper discarding cards out of his hand. I end by winning by
the Yata lock.
Duel 3:
We
begin the duel by trading off hits he gets off a early
Jinzo I take that out with his own lily. I later tribute for the Dreaded
HelPoemer facedown. He doesn’t attack it for a turn then decides to take a
chance to go for it and runs into the poemer and it begins it’s deadly grasp on
his hand a pulls it down slowly. Along the Demon from hell pulling his hand
down the Reaper of death Begins the slash cards out of
his hand and pulls them into the graveyard. I win this one by busting out a jinzo.
Match 2: Unorthadoxed vs. Steffon (Tried to recreate
the shoot down) [Quarter-Finals]
Duel 1:
God
what’s up with the bad hands on the first games. I try to pull off a early yata lock but he got that one kuriboh in his deck
and jacked everything up. His mad sword beast just step all over my defenses
and Jinzo rips up the rest.
Duel 2:
This
one I get the yata lock on him. It started off bad I get most of my hand
advantage while I slowly space all his m/t away and Kill all his monsters then All he is left with is a jammer and I have 2 revival cards.
Duel 3:
This
Duel starts off bad for him all he has is a monster to defend. I slice that
monster open with a nobleman and the Reaper drags a card to his graveyard. He bust
out a Cannon Soldier and hits the reaper next turn I summon a Sangan Snatch the
Cannon, drag another card to the graveyard with the Reapers Scythe He destroys
my field I grab a Exiled. I take out the monster he plays with the exiled and
sets down 1 m/t I space it call my Sangan space the call get that yata and the
lock begins.
Match 3: Unorthadoxed vs. Ed (Sephiroth) [Semi-Finals]
Before the Duel begins I decide to help Steffon build
a new deck.
Swept the Mighty Sephiroth this match.
Duel 1:
This one starts off weird he summons a
witch face up and I draw a Noble (What the Hell) if he threw it face down it
would of went along more smoothly. Well any ways I take out the witch a begin
to decimate his force with a Magical Hat. He gets me with a Goblin and
Marauding, But I bust the reaper in defense and stall for a while. After a few turns I am able to clear
the field and begin the decimate his hand and move in with the yata lock.
Duel 2:
This
one begins off in my favor he goes first but I get my hand advantage. I try to
bust out the Poemer but it didn’t work off in my favor. The reapers begin stall
out once again the then begins to drag cards to the graveyard and the dreaded
crow of doom comes out and begin to lock; It was like last battle between Cloud
(not to be affiliated with the Cloud in avalanche) and Sephiroth he didn’t
stand a Change; you would of only known that if you had completed Final Fantasy
7.
Match 4: Unorthadoxed vs. Life Stream [Barrels]
Duel 1:
This
one starts of great I get major hand advantage wit drawing and delinquent
crossout his witch and bust out a spirit reaper and take it out of him. He goes
with a whole lot of def. I summon a Kycoo smack the facedown it’s a witch but
that’s ok I’ll try to discard it but I didn’t but I hit a revival even better.
Slowly begin to decimate his hand he tries to fiber but I slice up that tree
and serve it as a salad and lock him.
Duel 2:
This
one I though I would lose because I
start off with a bad hand and he discards the only drawing card that I got the
whole game. I start off trying to get out as many cards out of his hand. But he
snatches my Hat and summons a yata and tries to lock me but I call the kuriboh
and Block the yata lock. I draw the spirit reaper and begin to stall for a very
long time. Eventually I get up to about 12000 life points then I begin to
decimate his hand. His barrels and good cards were apparently at the bottom and
He tried to defend as much as possible but that doesn’t work I decimate with
United Force of Jinzo and Kycoos.
I took this tournament with a Iron Claw A.K.A the
Crow
