I traded for lots of the stuff in this deck before the tournament. Now let’s get to that report!
Round 1 Ringmaster vs. Peter (original beatdown)
Duel 1: This kid collapsed when I pulled out the basic stall card for the deck, Gravity Bind! I easily took the first duel
Me 10000 (thanks Nimble M.) Him 0
Duel 2: This duel took a little time for us. I started with Gravity Bind on the field and he 7 Tools it, so I activate Solemn Judgment. I’m now at 4000 LP. He hit me then with Harpie’s Brother and Hysteric Fairy for 3600. Now I’m at 400. I needed a good card to come up. It was Nimble Momonga!!! THANK YOU GOD!!! He attacked it and then he attacked the other two as well. Now I’m at 3400. WHEW! That was real close. Then I pull Gravity Bind and he then just begins to build a wall of high attacks for me to break. Let’s just say Hayabusa Knight had something to say about that. He got beefed up with United We Stand and Mage Power to 7500!!! I then Raigeki his field of monsters and Feather Duster his magic and traps. I hit him for150000. Game. Set. Match.
Me 3400 (Thank you my squirrels) Him -8000 (which is 7000-15000)
My record is 2-0
Round 2 Ringmaster vs. I can’t remember your name (sorry. He ran a beatdown as well.)
Duel 1: It ended quick thanks to Swords of Revealing Light and Nimble Momonga. He attacked N.M. and then he ended his turn. I drew and played swords and said go. He drew and said go. I then drew U.W.S. played Hayabusa Knight in attack. He had one monster on the field so I flipped my Nimble Momongas and played U.W.S. on Hayabusa for a quick 3200 boost. I also had a peguin soldier flipped face up from a previous turn. I attacked his creature then finished his life off with the rest of my creatures.
Me 9000 Him 0
Duel 2: He got me down to 4200 but my squirrels were too much for him as I beat him in come from behind fashion. I love to come back from being down like that. It just gets you so hyped for the next round.
Me 4200 Him 0
My record is 4-0
Round 3 Ringmaster vs. Steve
Duel 1: I kinda forgot many of the details here so I’ll just tell you how it ended up. He put me in my place without taking a single hit from me.
Me 0 Him 7000 (he used 7 Tools on my Gravity Bind)
Duel 2: Just like last time, he put me in the losing column. He had an anti-clown control deck.
Me 0 Him 4000 (Used Solemn Judgment)
My record is 4-2
I needed to win my next match 2-1 at least to make the top 8.
Round 4 Ringmaster vs. Josh
The last time we met I won a down to the last card in my deck duel.
Duel 1: He just dominated me in this one. I guess he wanted a little revenge for our last match.
Me 0 Him 7600
Duel 2: My Killer Squirrels made it seem like I had the match won until he countered my Bind and kept hitting my life with Gemini Elf with an Axe. I was crushed but the loss kept me thinking on how I could improve my deck for future tournaments.
I got 9th place and they didn’t have tourney packs in so I got nothing for my efforts.
Props:
To 9th place
To my friend Superman for winning his 2nd tournament in a row
To the 60 dollars store credit he got
To my squirrels
To my pigeons
To my deck because it has always tried to get me the victory
Slops:
To not winning a tournament yet
To no tourney packs
To thiefs
To my deck for not trying hard enough
