Hello everyone!! This is my first tourney report on Pojo.com. Id like to start off by saying that I am so happy that i side deck in this duel. Before the tourney.. i didnt know what deck to use.. exodia or clown control (thanks someguy for the clown control deck.. mad props for you), but i decided to use exodia. My basic strategy is to bring out Exodia fast. Using last wills cannon soldier... reviving sangans and witch of the black forest on the field. And getting pieces. My deck seems a little big at 46 but it works. Another problem that you might see is that i rely on too much magics and traps. So yeah.. once they imperial order me.. or bring out jinzo, sometimes its game on there favor.. but jinzo helps me out too.. my deck is basically speed exodia but with an alternate beatdown. My side deck is a shoutout for someguy for clown control.. Without further delay, here is my tourney report.

I first watched people duel, and after 20 minutes i played. I watched the previous duels, and i was quite nervous. They all had beatdowns with jinzo (obviously), they all seemed like they were in high school. So yes.. they call out my number and someone else’s number and it was me vs some 8^th grader. Well yeah.. first of all.. i ask him if he has a side deck.. he says no.. I ALWAYS ask if they have a side deck... because i dont want them to say "ok.. im going to sidedeck.. and they take out a bunch of cards and take out a card destruction or exchange" So thats why i ask. Ok.. well the duel starts.. my first hand consisted of 2 pieces, a mystic tomato, last will and monster reborn.

1^st duel

He goes first.. lays down 4 m/t’s and a mad sword beast.. i go.. i draw a heavy storm. I use it.. he doesnt do anything. I use last will, bring out mystic tomato and attack his mad sword beast... they both die. I bring out 2 sangans with the effects of mystic tomato and last will.. then.. his turn.. he change of heart my monster and brought out a summoned skull. I got the effect.. got one piece.. 3 total in my hand.. i draw.. i get dark hole.. i reborn my sangan.. use dark hole.. i get 2 more pieces.. game.. exodia.

It went pretty much the same.. it just tok a little bit longer. I didnt even keep the life points.. i know i attacked his Goblin attack force with my sangans to get exodia pieces.. very risky but i ended up winning..

YIKES!!! I forgot about this guy.. i remember him from somewhere but i couldnt put my finger on it.. i ask for a side deck.. he says he doesnt have one.... so i started playing.. and he placed a cannon soldier on the field and uses last will and launches itself.. so im like.. damn.. he has exodia.. and yeah.. he pulled it off on the 7^th turn or something.. all i know is that i didnt get any pieces..

2^nd duel

ok.. its side deck time.. i take out my wabokus and put in card destruction and ceasefire.... I went first.. i didnt get any pieces but i did get 2 last wills cannon soldier sangan and an imperial order i draw i get change of heart... i play cannon soldier play 2 last wills. And launch himself.. got a sangan and a witch.. his turn... he says... ok.. i play cannon soldier and launch himself and he played a last will.. but then i use imperial order... then he doesnt do anything.. i draw i got a ceasefire.. i just attack with the sangan and witch.. he goes.... he uses change of heart and brings out a jinzo.... and he attacks my monster.. i got 2 pieces by the effect.. my turn.. i draw its card destruction. I change of heart his jinzo and bring out mine... then i use card destruction.. thank god i used it.. he had the head and three pieces.. i know got a back up soldier and a reborn.. so i ended up beating him with exodia..

deng.. 30 minutes went by and it was already the 3^rd duel.. well hm.. i just make this one short... he goes first. and brought out sangan in attack mode.. 1 mt.. i go.. i brung out cannon soldier.. and he uses solemn jundgement.. i set 2 cards down.. and he goes... he tributes sangan for summoned skull.. he attacks.. i use mirror force.. he then uses monster reborn and ends his turn... i then use call of the haunted get back my cannon soldier.. tribute for jinzo.. use 2 last wills.. and brought out more sangans and i use change of heart.. game...

this guy was really confident.. my 2nd duel took a long time and so other people played and in one braket its already finals.. so there is already a finalist.. 3^rd match was for the finalist position.. winner plays my friend eric. This guy was talking to eric saying.. ok.. instead of dueling.. u wanna just split the prize... and he was like "no" and yeah... i interrupt by saying "what makes you so sure you are going to win against me" HAHAHA!! Yes.. dont mess with superman..

1^st and 2^nd duel..

well he told me he side board already.. i was like.. ok.. he told me he put in a card destruction but it never touched the field.. both duels i end it in less than 4 duels... thank god...

1^st duel

eric plays a beatdown deck.. with cannon soldier and morphing jar #2 and ceasefire.. 1^st duel went pretty fast.. he brought out jinzo attacks my witch.. and i get jinzo.. go.. i played 2 last wills.. and use dark hole.. i got 1 sangan and 1 mystic tomato.. tribute sangan for a jinzo.. reborn his jinzo.. 5400 damage.. he goes.. sets a morphing jar #2. I go.. i use raigeki.. bring out cannon soldier.. game.

2^nd duel

it went pretty much the same.. but he pretty much killed himself.. he used solemn jundement and kept paying for messenger of peace... brought him down to 1700 with my sangan.. he brings out his own witch and attacks my face down monster.. witch.. it doesnt die but he took damage.. his turn.. he uses dark hole.. brings out a cannon soldier.. i use waboku.. i use monster reborn.. he uses imperial order.. i bring out a sangan face down.. he goes.. he pats for imperial order twice bringing his lp to 100.. he had 1 trap down. I bring out cannon soldier and launch himself.. game..

YES! I WON!! YA HOOOOO!!! Everyone was like.. what?!?!? HE WON?!?!?!.. hm.. good thing i played in the tournament.. i was doubting to play.. but i played and won.. thats cool... so yes.. what did i buy with the money i won.. ok.. well he said hell give me 5 packs of lab of nightmare.. and 1 pharoahs servant.. but i didnt want to risk not getting a holo.. so i just bought a holo card and one pack.. i bought mask of restrict and one pack.. i didnt get anything in that pack... oh well.. i won..

After the fuel i was playing other people and this guy approached me and he ha a morphing jar #1 and he wanted to trade.. i offered my extra jinzo but then he said he’ll just get store credit... crap.. oh well..
