4 rounds, 16 people in the Advanced
Bracket
Over the weekend, I attended a Yu-Gi-Oh! expo near the mall and
dueled and made some monster trades, 3 Mechanical Chasers! For $100 and 7 Secret
Rares, and the kid offered me.
Ahh, Spring Break. I got an extra 3 hours
of sleep, Fastlane came ready to duel.
Round 1
Opponent: Jake (Ritual
Beatdown)
First duel, He got out his Masked Beast and Relinquished wicked
early and controled the field until Barrel Dragon came out. Used it's effect to
destroy Masked Beast and hit Reliquished fir 2600. BOOM! he has 1400 life points
left. He plays Torrential Tribute, but I had a 7 Tools with his name on it. I
nailed him with Barrel Dragon to finish him off.
Second duel, I
side-decked in 2 Prohibitions, another Magic Jammer, and 2 Infinite Dismissals.
He ritual summoned Relinquished, but I had Magic Jammer waiting. I laid
Mechanical Chaser and nailed him for 1850. He played Gemini Elf and attacked my
Chaser. That kind of set back my plan. I used Snatch Steal and took his Elf, and
tributed two monsters for Barrel Dragon to finish him off.
Round
2
Opponent: Flip (Clown)
I have never faced Flip in a tournament duel,
but faced him for fun many times, so I didn't know how he was when it
counted.
First duel, His Clowns were getting wicked annoying. I
sacrificed for Jinzo, and negated his Gravity Bind and nailed him for 2400. He
played SORL for a turn, but I drew MST and destroyed it. Next turn, I laid
Goblin Attack Force hit him for 1300, attacked with Cannon Soldier and launched
for the win.
Second duel, He got me with Hayabusa Knight with a Mage
Power. He then proceeded to prohibit Jinzo. CRAP! I used Change of Heart and
tributed his and my monsters for Barrel Dragon and used Heavy Storm on his M/T
zone and nailed him with Barrel Dragon. He played another Hayabusa Knight with 2
Axe's and finished me off.
Third duel, I got Jinzo out before he could
prohibit it. I hit him a few times with him negated Gravity Bind in play. He
switched his Dream Clown to defense and left my Jinzo in shambles. I hit his
field with Raigeki, laid Mechanical Chaser and left his Clowns burnt to a
crisp.
Round 3
Opponent: Cesar (Thunder-Dragon)
Finally I don't
have to play Surge in the third round.
First duel, He got out THTD out on
the 3rd turn! His Dragon owned me and I couldn't get any monsters out. I played
SORL and stalled for three turns, but that just let him build up his forces,
guess what happened after SORL wore off?
Second duel, I had him on the
ropes for a while with Mechanical Chaser and Cannon Soldier, but he broke
through with his Goblin Attack Forces and Gemini Elves. I used Limiter Removal
on my Barrel Dragon, hoping to finish him off, but noooooo he plays Magic
Jammer. Why didn't I play Heavy Storm before Limiter Removal. Next turn he plays
Polymerization and gets THTD on the field and finished me off.
What's
Hot?
The Yu-Gi-Oh! gamers out there, keep on gaming!
What's
Not?
People that steal from little
kids!
Later.
