Pre
Tournament Notes:
This doesn't have to do with the tournament, but
sorry about a broken link connecting to my previous report for all the people
who wanted to read it, and sorry about your computer troubles lately Wartortle.
Well, as usual I stand around waiting for the tourney to begin because my
brother doesn't want to duel me for fun. Whenever I want to duel him its always
NO, NO, NO, NO, and you guessed it NO! My first match would be against Jason
Wearring one of Mission Fun and Games' best duelers, and he seemed pretty
confident because he might of thought I wasn't that good, but my little
Squirrels thought differently.
First Round: me vs. Jason Wearring
(Balanced Beatdown Deck)
I totally forgot my starting hands for every
duel in this tournament, but I can remember what happened during most of the
duels. Go figure! Well, I started by setting Sangan face down then using Card
Destruction. Jason was pee'd off because he had Jinzo, Summoned Skull, and some
other good cards which I can't remember that were ready for him to use, but he
played Premature Burial on Skull and attacked Sangan so I brought a Witch to my
hand. I drew Skull Lair and destroyed Skull on his next turn, and then
eventually used Soul Exchange on a Reborned Jinzo, and from there on even his
Sinister Serpent couldn't match my overwhelming offense.
Skull Lair
wouldn't let him defend, as I once again Soul Exchanged his Jinzo and
overwhelmed Sinister Serpent with an onslaught of Squirrels and a Bazoo equipped
with Metalmorph.
After the duel Jason said, " F***, " and he's a adult!
It's just a game, and when I tried to shake his hand he wouldn't and just said,"
Go away! " So Ray (Mission Fun and Games' Judge), and John (Mission Fun
and Games' Owner) will deal with him if they haven't already. My brother Bennett
also won against one of my best friends Philippe, but only one of them could win
and it was Bennett's Birthday so that was nice! My next duel was against a good
dueler named David James who creamed a newbie in a few minutes during the first
round.
Second Round: me vs. David James (4 Stared Beatdown
Deck)
He started with Gearfried and built up a 4 star attack force,
and I just really couldn't focus on the duel so he won by around 3000 Life
Points.
I destroyed his 4 stared attack force with a 4 Stared Ladybug of
Doom, and after that I won a close one by around 3000.
This came down to
the wire, but I won with Squirrels, a beefed up Summoned Skull, and my Hayabusa
Knight equipped with Metalmorph.
Bennett also won against this cocky kid
who ran a 90 to 100 card Gate Guardian Deck. I had to once again face another
adult named Jeremy who ran a 53 card Dark Necrofear Deck, but he was polite
unlike Jason.
Third Round: me vs. Jeremy (Dark Necrofear
Deck)
I used Soul Exchange on his beefed up Fiend Megacyber, and Card
Destruction on his starting hand, and I won due to his lack of Fiend Monsters in
the Graveyard.
I thought it was over for him at the start of the duel
when I got him to play defensive with Fishies, Genies, and even Goblin Attack
Force, but he made some quick hits and got me down to 50 Life Points, but none
of us got any monsters for three turns after I destroyed his Fiend Megacyber,
and he Fissured my Summoned Skull. I reborned Summoned Skull attacked to lower
his Life Points to 250, but he drew Change of Heart, and that was it.
I
was mad I couldn't finish the second duel, and was afraid I'd end up losing the
series, but I reborned his Gemini Elves got a few hits in, and Dark Holed his
only threat to me at that point being Dark Necrofear, but he reborned it in face
up defense, but I took control of it with Invader of the Throne and attacked
with them for the win.
I had a Rootbeer Slurpee and watched Bennett lose
to another Jason in three games. I'd have to have revenge! Here go the
Finals!:
Fourth Round: me vs. Jason (Wenie/Burner Deck)
He
did damage with one Tremendous Fire and Jinzo #7, but my Hayabusa Knight
equipped with Mage Power, Mask of Brutality, and Metalmorph slaughtered his Life
Points after a Raigeki, and Heavy Storm.
After the first duel I thought
this one would be quick and easy, but I let my guard down, and lost a close one
due to his Gravity Bind, Tremendous Fires, and Jinzo #7s.
He used one
Tremendous Fire and attacked once with Jinzo #7, but I Heavy Stormed his Gravity
Bind and attacked with my Squirrels, Bazoo, and Hayabusa Knight for the
win!
Yeahhh! I won the very first tourney of my life, and I'm one step
closer to #1 dueler in the world!
Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
