Tournament Report
Saturday, May 10, 2003
Triple Play, Streetsvile, Ontario
Battle City
Cost: $1
Name of Deck: Crappy McCrap Crap
Ok, the tournament started out with me buying a Magic Cylinder and some new sleeves. I checked out the competition and knew I was dead. These people had morphing jars, needle worms, and some even had all of exodia times 4! So we each got two locator cards and got placed with a random person. If you lost the duels, you had to give up one locator card and one super rare card. The four people with 6 cards got into the semi finals. I got matched up with…. Devon! One of the best at the store!
Duel 1: He kept the score sheets but it started off with him Mirror Forcing, Heavy Storming, Feather Dusting and summoning MANY Rock Spirits. I barely scratched him before I lost.
Duel 2: I came back and was winning for a while thanks to Graceful Charity. Then I lost horribly and gave up Limiter Removal and a locator card.
Ok I still had one locator card. I waited for a while and was paired up with… Kevin. I didn’t know his status but knew he used a deck VERY similar to Devon’s.
Duel 1: I can’t remember a thing about this one but I know he was down to under 4000 before I lost.
Duel 2: This one was close! My GAF’s were pulverizing him and Raigeki helped a load! He was down to 1900 and I had a trap hole down pretending it was solemn judgment. I attacked directly with my Gemini Elf only to find he had magical cylinders out! I lost the duel L but after I lost, we dueled for fun and I beat him! I hate that! I handed over a dark spirit of the silent (lol) and my last locator card. I dueled Big Eric and it was fun. We were going back and forth with each other’s life points. I was the youngest at that tournament (and I’m 14 this July too!) Vince Chiang, number one at the store was dominating all over the place. Two people left, Dennis and some guy with Tr in his name. Travis or something. Logan, Devon’s younger brother, was using a relinquished deck. Every1 else uses earth beat down. Logan offered his 3 locator cards for my Destiny Board, and some kid offered one of his cards for my holo giant trunade. I was just going to say yes when my mom phoned me on my cell and said she was coming to pick me up. Ah well, for my first tournament against guys with almost every single card, I guess I did well. Since I left before it ended, I don’t know who won. Anyways, here’s my deck.
