YuGiOh Mall
Tour,
Round 1 : Me (Bandit Keif) vs. Nate (Student of Redline, A-1 Supreme)
First I would like to compare the Legend of Redline in 2 different
stores. When I walk into Collectors Corner there is no doubt that they have
heard about my Redline deck, people talk and word of mouth spreads like
wildfire. The store knows that I’m good as hell and who ever challenges me will
be nervous about having to stare down the cold rage of the Barrel Dragon.
However at A 1 comics,
Round 2 : Me (Bandit Keif) vs. “Master Duelist”
(left end of table)
There is a reason I opt not to duel for fun before tournaments, it’s
because other people can see your deck and start to counter. That’s exactly
what I did for this Master Duelist. I saw he had 2 decks lined up; a purple
sleeved beatdown and a glimmering blue sleeved Exodia. As I sit down to duel I see him place the blue
sleeves into ready position. I quickly take out my monster killer magics and sub in anti Exodia.
Now I toy with the so called Master Duelist in front of his most favored
audience.
First I wait till he has 4 pieces of Exodia
in his hand. His deck being an Exodia deck he has not
scratched my life points. I clear his magic / trap zones and use Delinquint Duo, and Confiscation. I then Soul Release the
pieces that went to the grave, making sure I don’t remove more than 4 monsters.
I then proceed to summon Barrel Dragon after Barrel Dragon, putting the on the
most breathtaking show those young duelists watching ever saw! I put the advances
of my Barrel Dragon on hold and start to deck him out,
leaving him less and less options as every turn went by. My Barrel Dragons’
eagerly await their chance to strike. I gave the Upperdeck
employed master duelist a chance to recede the duel but he refused although the
game was mine since turn 3. I dragged the Master Duelist through about 20
rounds of torture, 2 Barrel Dragons annihilating monster after monster, using
surgical like precision to not kill him in the process. I was able to reduce
his life points to 100, and his deck to his last card. He then got up and asked
for a sub, I made him quit for the day, he needed a break,
I guess facing down my Dragons not only harm the cards, it fatigues you also.
Area 2:
A 1 Comics
Round 1: Me (Bandit Keif) vs. Nick Orlo who got swept 2-0.
Sorry Kid, 64 person tournament means no separate bracket for beginners.
Well your parents wouldn’t have wanted to wait long anyway.
Round 2: Me (Bandit Keif) vs. Brandan Chock (A-1 Supreme)
This round starts my elimination of the local dueling group. Serf leaving the battle early leaves me to fend for myself in unknown territory.
Round 3: Me (Bandit Keif) vs. Quinten Hensley (good young kid)
This kid was good, but my Redline
has been equipped to eat basic beatdown alive. Being
different is my advantage when I travel, Redline is a rare breed and no one can
be prepared for the infamous glory of the Machine
Dragons.
Round 4: Me (Bandit Keif) vs. Craig Paterson (A-1 Supreme)
Dude, you got Isis’s (my sister’s)
Escaflowne Poster from your store? I hella bought a
tight wall scroll and she doesn’t have one yet. How much is it to send it over
to my house? Nate’s visit seems too far.
Round 5: Me (Bandit Keif) vs. Jennifer
Faith (A-1 Supreme)
I guess she’s the token girl of the dueling group. But facing Redline
for the first time is a hard battle indeed. I know of 2 in existence today that
works. Mine and the Student of Redline, Nate. This is
Star Wars type teaching people, only 1 Master and 1 Student, both deadly enough
to make it to Semi Finals, however only the Master of Redline proceeds to the
final duel.
Round 6: Me (Bandit Keif) vs. Gabe Hetrick (A-1 Supreme, Ranked
#1 at the Store)
It is only fitting that 3rd on the West Coast Season 2 face
off with the best at the store. However in the end the beatdown
wins. Or did he really? In my 15 packs I got a Gemini Elves, Dark Necrofear, Royal Command, Bazoo
and Mask of the Accursed.
