Hi, my name is shawn A.K.A ritual/fusion dude. (can't say last name, don't wanna be stalked). This was my first "tourney" and I did okay. This is also my first tourny report, so bear with me, a'ight? Mall of America Wizards of the Coast May 10, 03 1:00 to 3:00.

Before Tourney:traded ceasefire and imperial order for UWS. Was going to trade a kid Jar of Greed and Fire Princess for Mage Power, but he thought about it and declined. Darn.

On to the report. First off, this was kind of a free play thing, not a real tourney.

 

Duel one: Me(ritual/fusion dude) versus Chris (weenie rush/hand depletion)

 Match one: I sucked. He brought out his Jinzo 7s and mystic lamps and ran me over with robbin goblin. I was stupid this duel. I had a face down WoftBF face down and Sangan in ATK. I could've attacked, but I never did. Dang.

Match two: Same thing. I decked in my infinite dismissal, but he HFDed it. He used his ceasefire, adding 2500 to the damage. I lost badly. He was good about it though. He was a nice guy.

 

Duel two: Me (ritual/fusion dude) versus Carlon or something (sorry man, forgot your name. used all of the mask cards in the game)

Macth one: He had heard about me having a masked beast. He had traded his Jinzo earlier for his MB and the ritual. He kept saying stuff like "Oooooooo.. the masters of the masks going at it!" It was kind of annoying. anyway, i owned him the whole duel. He kept using Mask of Dispell(the one that takes life for how long your monster's on the field) on my MB, but i jammered. At one point, i had a UWS on MB with a Relinquished with a Kycoo equipped to him on the field. I had a MJ, MC, and 7TotB face down. He has a Gearfried in Atk. I attack it with MB and he activates collected power on his Gearfried but we both forgot Gearfried's effect. He attacked my Relinquished. I didn't care. He lost right there. (he killed my Relinquished, and any damage he recieves goes to my opponent also Gearfried was at like 4500)

 

Second Match:

My hand: Senju, Sonic Bird, CoH, AoD, CotMB. His friend walked by, saw my hand, and was like, "Dude, carlon or whatever, you're dead"

He's like yeah right. my turn summoned SotTH, brought MB, summon it, CoH his facedown monster... Cyber Jar. He says that his effect goes off. I agree for some fun.i draw 7 tools, MJ, MoF, and some other card. He plays all defense. I draw. Relinquished. Summon Sonic Bird, get his ritual, sac SB for it, flip Magician of Faith, choose CoH, Monster Reborn my MB, Activate CoH, take one of his defenses, and suck up the other with Relinquished. Wide open feild. Attacked with MB. His turn. He goes Ha! I'll make you pay for that MB! then he plays Mask of ???(one that hurts you for how long your monster's on the field). Woopee. Didn't even bother to jammer. He doesnt play any mons. My turn. draw, get UWS. Equipped it to MB giving him a 2400 boost. I attacked his LP directly. Game.

 

Well, that's the end of that one. now time for some props and slops

The kid who wouldnt trade his Mage Power

Dad for not letting me get a pack (he's against me playing yu-gi-oh. He thinks it'll hurt my grades.)

The kid running a Gate Gaurdian Deck

 

By the way, for all of you FINAL users, Imperial Order is such a big help. Play DB in the first M/T slot, IO in the last. If  your opponent does anything to hurt DB, acitvate IO. Keep it there until your 4 Standby Phase when you get your last peice. Then don't pay for IO and discard it and put Spirit Message L in its place. Game.
