Hello, I’m here to report about my 6th or
7th tourney(I don’t know I’ve lost count…) This is, by the way my,
first tournament report.
I’ve come
here today, in hopes of making it into the top 3… Of course that didn’t happen,
but oh well ya can’t get everything.
…Eh, not much to talk about this one, it was just
like the other tourneys that I’ve been attending, so we went over the restricted
list again to remind everyone of the new limitations.
I didn’t get any trades in before it started, but of
the regulars there said that he’ll trade me Magic Cylinders for Anti Raigeki, but only after the tournament was done. That was
ok with me though because I would not want to go into a tournament using a card
I’ve had no experience with.
So I’ll now proceed with the deck.

report…
Round 1!
Ah, if you have read my friends other tournament
report from a few months back (The Surprises Around
Every Corner Deck) You will know that this kid was the one he faced in the
finals… So I was very cautious.
Game 1:
Brandon W. used all his staple cards during the beginning
of the match, so he got me down pretty low (sorry for not keeping track of
numbers, I’ll try to do that next week) But I kept a cool head and continued
the duel. But after that it was all downhill from there, my 7 Coloreds and Aqua
Spirits prevailed and took down his life points.
Game 2:
I don’t remember much about this duel, expect that
he made some bad mistakes at the end (like flipping Torrential Tribute when he
just set it, or not attacking my Star Boy) Also in this duel he kept putting
Sinister Serpent in defense mode. I started to catch on when he returned it to
his hand so I kept a close eye on it and of course he once again put it in
defense! So the next turn I went all out and won.
Victor: Brandon C.
Round 2! Brandon C. VS Kyle Ravioli
Game 1:
There wasn’t much to say about this duel. I could
tell he was new because he put magic cards face down (like Raigeki
or Fairys Meteor Crsuh…) It
was easy so I won.
Game 2:
Same as above, it was an easy match.
Victor: Brandon C.
Round 3! Brandon C. VS Mike Totka
Hm… This was one of the guys that go to the wizard league that I attend
each week, he is a good player but I have yet to Vs him in a tournament so I didn’t
know what to expect…
Game 1:
I believe at the start of the match he hit me with Delinquent
Duo, this put me at disadvantage (as you know hand management is everything in
this game…) But I eventually got back on track and overcame this beatdown.
Game 2:
He side-decked before the duel so this would most likely
be tougher… I think he was using some sort of machine beatdown
as I did see a Mechanical Chaser in this duel.
It was basically like the last duel, expect this one
was a bit tougher but I eventually overcame his machines and won.
Victor: Brandon C.
Round 4!
Game 1:
Ugh when I saw my opening hand I somehow knew I was
going to lose… I did get some hits in but then came… Jinzo!
This thing destroyed me… I couldn’t believe it, no card I drew helped so Jinzo finshed me off…
Game 2:
I kept my cool, I was sure I
would do better this round… but I was wrong, Jinzo
came out once again and destroyed me!
Victor: Mike S.
Jinzo is now, officially, my most HATED card ever! It costed me the tournament! I cant believe
I lost to something like that… Jinzo, I swear one day
I’ll have my revenge.
As the dust settles
I went to get my tournament pack, at the last
tournament I pulled an Anti Raigeki so maybe I could
get lucky and pull another holo, I opened my pack up
and I got… Pot of Greed and some other crap… Blegh at
least I got to 4th round.
So now was the time to get Cylinders. The guy actually
wanted me to throw in one of my 3 fisherman (I don’t know why…) So I threw in
the unlimited one and received my Magic Cylinders! W00t!!!111.
Also someone was nice enough to give me a Penguin Soldier! Now all I need to do is fetch a United
We Stand and that will be it.
(At least until LOD comes out… then there will be 10
more cards to get ugh…)
I would also like to point out that the winner of
the tournament was Dustin Pidgeon, followed by Mamun(who
is 1st place in the store…), and then Mike S.
So if anyone from Sports Hounds is reading this they’ll
know who won.
Props:
For getting Magic Cylinders and Penguin Soldier
For pizza! The food of champions!
For getting pretty far into the tournament
For my dad for driving me and my brother there
Slops:
Jinzo
For losing in the 4th round
Jinzo
Getting crap in my tournament pack
Jinzo
And pretty much anything related to Jinzo my most hated card ever
