Round 1: Adam(Marik Ishitar) Vs. Tyler (Mako)
Well unfortunately all my friends were at this tournament and none of them wanted to duel me but that seems to be all I had to play so of course
They knew my deck and my strategies.
Game 1:
He wasn’t very happy to pull me in the first round but oh well that’s what happens. Our first game went fast basically I pulled Witch let him kill it with 7 Colored got Cyber Jar flipped the following turn Raigeki’ed and Harpies to clear the field and Then Call of the Haunted the Witch Slapped UWS + Mage Power + Axe for game ending damage
Me - 8000
Him - 8000-1700-0
Game 2:
I Got started with a Hayabusa + Axe combo, Tyler plays umi and 7 colored so were even I lay some traps (trap hole and Imperial Order) Snatch his fish MST’ed his face down m/t it’s trap hole then I summon Skull + Bazoo with Reborn and atk for win
Tyler wasn’t happy to get knocked out so fast but it happens I guess.
Me-8000
Him- 0
Round 2
Round 2: Adam/Marik Vs. Jake/Yugi/Arch Nemisis
ended up with my playing about the 2nd best duelest and one of my biggest rivals. He got a bye first round so it was either gonna be him or me in the #1 spot.
Game 1:
This game was back and forth picking at each others life points with different powered up 1800’s and a Bazoo or 2. Then I tried to end it with a really big hayabusa Knight (3x Axe and UWS) but he blocked it out and a well timed fissure gave him the game.
Me- 8000- 6200-3700-0
Him- 8000 – 4600-4100-3600
Game 2:
I started to get nervous, I couldn’t lose so easy not to him it would be a huge letdown to my friends who like to watch me win. I started first and drew a hand of all monsters and 3 traps Mirror force Imperial and Magic Cylinder, GAF , Kycoo, Gearfread. During the game I kept summoning and destroying all his defenses eventually Getting a Skull out and all the while I kept Imperial Order on. When the game was over he showed me that practically his entire hand was magic, I was so lucky.
Me – 8000-7300-6600-5900-5200-4500
Him- 8000-7500-5700-5200-0
Game 3:
He started off the game with only one monster in his hand he laid most of his trap/magic, I heavy storm, he activates Imperial, I Activate MST in a chain to it: there goes trap hole and mirror force. Then I use graceful ditch GAF and played Witch face down. He Attacks I get Cyber Jar, I dark hole call of the haunted my GAF slap on uws+ax on Hayabusa take out his Giant Soldier of stone with my GAF and atk him 2x for the win.
YEAHH!!!! Comebacks are sweet.
Round 3: Adam/Marik Vs. Dan/Kaiba/Best Friend.
Yeah it was kind of weird playing both my rival and my best friend back to back… I didn’t want to take 2nd place away from him but that’s what the tournament bracket gave us.
Game 1:
I use Pot of Greed grab some more cards Lay a Magician down, he attacks it I use pot Again on my turn I clear his field with Reigeiki and Harpies Feather Duster, Use Graceful Charity ditch GAF and Skull, Then I Summon a Hayabusa with Both Mage Power AND United We Stand making him 4600 atk By Laying down some traps and CotH My Skull atk 2x game.
Me- 8000
Him- 8000- 0
Game 2:
Well I use Change of heart on his monster it’s a MEB I sac it for Jinzo he goes “Oh Crap I shoulda Used Imperial Order to stop that.” I smack him with Jinzo then He clears the field I summon Hayabusa with an ax atk he activates a trap I call of the Haunted Jinzo to negate the trap and that’s game again. I hated to do it but I have to be the #1 duelist.
Me- 8000
Him- 8000-5600-0
Round 4: Adam/Marik Vs. Josh ???????
Wow was I surprised, Tyler’s Brother Josh about 11 or so, Was In the finals, He either got matched poorly or he had gotten a lot better since the last time I played him.
Game 1:
This was a looooonnnnnggg Game, which I’m not used to we shot 1800’s back and forth clearing each others field, I kept trying to bait him into not attacking when we got into top deck mode but he kept MST’ing anything I put down by Magician’ing it back, I finally Lost ….=(
Me- 8000-6200-5700-2400-400-0
Him- 8000- 5700-3200
Game 2:
This time the game was nearly the opposite I got an early Hayabusa to poke at his life points down to 4000 he clears the field and hits me for 1800 with Harpies Brother, I clear the field and end the game with a GAF + Mage Power
Me- 8000-6200
Him-8000-4000-0
Game 3:
This game was all me. I start of MST’ing his only face down trap , it’s trap hole, kill his monster with dark hole, Then I atk with Kycoo and remove both , he atks Kycoo and I activate Mirror Force, Then I Equip a Hayabusa with enough to make him 2600 giving me the game (ax + UWS)
Me- 8000
Him- 8000-6200-0
