The Tournament
Report:
I made it to the finals for the first time!
I forget my opponents names so some of the names are “Some
Kid.”
First Round: Me vs. Some
Kid, Earth BeatDown vs. BeatDown
It was a quick 2 matches (best out of
three,) the summery is I cleared the field with my MSTs, Fissures, Dark hole,
and Heavy Storm and dealt 6000 points of direct damage twice. In the next game I
used Smoke Grenade of the Thief and Gearfried combo, and got him in a Yata lock,
my second lock since I traded for it.
Second Round: Me vs. Some
Kid, Earth BeatDown vs. ??? Deck
His deck was weird; he had different
strategies and high attacking monsters. Although in the end none of his
strategies worked, and he said “I had bad hands.” Anyway I wiped him
out.
Third Round: Me vs. New
Kid, Earth BeatDown vs. BeatDown
This was his first time to the tournament, but I was amazed at
how good his deck was. His monsters were strong, but he didn’t have enough so I
attacked his life points directly with my powered up
bazoos.
Fourth Round: Me vs. My
Best Friend, Earth BeatDown vs. Fiend
BeatDown
His Fiend BeatDown was the strongest at the
tournament that day. He had beaten two of the strongest duelists at the
tournament that day. I won one by dealing a lot of damage when his life points
were open for only one turn, but in the end that’s how I beat
him.
Fifth Round: Me vs. Some
Kid, Earth BeatDown vs. Fiend
BeatDown
His Fiend BeatDown was pretty good, but his
monsters weren’t as good as the Fourth round’s duelist. The way I defeated him
was mostly by battle damage.
Final
Round: Me vs. My Best Friend,
Earth BeatDown vs. BeatDown/Card
Advantage
I dueled my strongest, but it was in vein. Although I put up a pretty
good fight none the less. He won the first one because he always killed my
monsters with magic/trap cards, and attacked direct. I won the second one
because he didn’t have enough monsters to protect his life points. Finally he
won the last one because he got me in a Yata lock when he had jinzo
out.
Thanks for reading my Tournament Report. If you have any suggestions email me at Mattthew86@aol.com My duelist idea name is Partial Colombian if you want to see my rank.
