Living on the East Coast and in VA my area got hit pretty hard by Isabel and it was nice to have this tournament Sunday to show the recovery was happening so I dubbed this deck "Glimmer of Hope." Tournament ran double elimination with prize to be determined when store owner returns.

Heres how the rounds went:

Round 1

Can't quite remember where my 500 came from, but I quickly got a Parsley and Volt Girl running to harass his field with Luminous Sparks out, me gaining card advantage via Parsley and keeping his field down made it easy.

Game 2

I believe the 50 started when I had Parsley trample a spirit reaper, popped it and kept going.  My first 800 came from Prematuring a Parsley back then sac'd it for an equip free Parsley.  The next 2800 was a change of hearted Magic Hats and I wanna say 7 Colored Fish. I was able to order his raigeki and he wasted dark hole earlier so 4 monsters came like owgies.

Vivi vs Donald

I'll take the time to say I'm not a usual here and this guy was a favored to win our match so I thought this might be something but his deck just wasn't there.

His first 1000 came from a Duo which dropped  a parsley and Snatch which was annoying, he did miss Raigeki though heh, so I pop him with an Asura Priest and set a waboku, he summoned attacked and got waboku'd, so the next 1300 came from some beatdownish monsters which I popped with a Raigeki he couldn't regain controll so he lost.

I took a hit off  a 1900 vs WMH(who killed Yata thankfully) I recover hit him for 900 he rips a Jinzo returns 500 then a swift Raigeki reborn and some Parsley/Volt Girl action brings him down.

Game 3

Him 8000-700-5100

We were blow for blow at one point him offense me defense he pulled ahead and added an extra 2 rounds to my roster.

Having to win this next match to get to the finals wasn't making me happy seeing as this guy beat me last night but I added in some stuff and it worked(namely a 2nd Parsley)

Josh vs Zach

His only 500 came from my ceasefire he Dustered, and I didn't want to waste, he knocked one of my graveyard recursions with a don or something and dropped off only drawn monster, all I could manage was "ouch"

Game 2

Being behind after game 1 is one thing I hate so I needed to pull something from my hate.

Wow a perfect game, the 5500 came from me going first having a 1900 Volt and his 2300 in attack(he was wondering with 2 m/ts) so I pull Sparks give Volt Field Power Bonus and summon a second Volt both attack for 2500, he then Raigekis, no monsters, I bring out sangan pop for 1000, he sets something with 300 def(mag faith) I then get out Parshath and pop for 1600. He raigekis I reborn Parshath and summon for a win.

This was me getting hit with an Exiled Force and him getting raped by a Luminous Spark powered army.

Me vs Clay

This guy gets my props we have a similar laid back style in playing so this was fun(even if it was our 2nd time today)

This was just a blitz of his attacks stopped by Wabo and Force then a Blitz of Light Powered Up Monsters at his Life, while at 3700 he had previously Raigeki'd I got 3 monsters out w/reborn premature and normal summon and just rubbed the Salt in.

Him 8000-6000

He Pot'd early and left me limping with a Del Duo and Confiscation, I just couldn't recover and got blitzed

He got one 1800 in then it died and 3 turns WMH raped him for 1000 and his hand each time and he couldn't recover except a raigeki and a few hits bringing me down, but Nyan Nyan provided the solid offense I needed till parshath.
