Me Vs. I forgot his name
This match was done in the first two games. I was able to draw whatever I needed when I needed it. I do not remember much more than that. Next time I will keep notes.
Me vs. Lindsay
Lindsay is the only girl that duels in our store at this time. She is pretty good and relies on a dragon/beat down. The first game she got out Jinzo early and I was stuck with a bunch of trap cards and could not draw many monsters. She eventually won the game but it took a very long time. Game 2 Lindsay had run the score down to me 100 points and her 5000. I was having a rough time pulling stuff and by then we had both used Raigecki, Torrential, and Dark holes so she was very thin on monsters since she relied on Troop Dragons to save her life points. My Pyramid Turtles were excellent as she took out both of them and I was able to bring out Ryu Kokki and Vampire Lord. The only monster she had left to defend her life points was removed from play with Dark Core and I pulled out the second game. Game 3 pretty much went my way and I was able to rely heavily on my Zombies and Book of Life came up when I needed it.
Me vs. Alex
Alex is a good duelist. He and I always have games that go down to the wire. Every time we are both at 1000 life points or below when the other one finally wins. Alex won game 1. Game 2 was won by me. It was another long battle but this time my beat down monsters were able to pull the game out for me. Of course three Waboku were there when I needed them to save my life points and I was able to Raigecki Break whatever was in my way. Game 3 was a battle for all time. We chipped away at each other life points until I had 1100 and Alex had 2000. I had Raigecki break set with Jinzo in my hand and no monsters on the field he had no magic or traps set with a monster on the field equipped with an Axe. I drew a card and it was Book of Life. I played Raigecki Break to destroy his face up monster by discarding Jinzo. I played Book of Life to bring back Vampire Lord and finished the game and match. It was a good one. There were a lot of people watching and could not believe the luck I had to pull that one out or was it the "Heart of the Cards".
Me vs. Josh for 1st Place
By the time this match started I was feeling a little stressed. I sometimes suffer from anxiety attacks and was chewing some gum to stay calm. Josh played a good game and relied heavily on his Swords of Revealing Light. He was able to get it on the field and chipped away at my life points for a bit. When Swords was finally gone he flipped up Magician of Faith and brought it back again. I just stayed cool and relied on the effect of Royal Keeper and my Waboku to keep me in the game. I eventually drew Riryoku and named Jinzo and took him out with my Reflect Bounder. That turned the game as I was able to use the traps I had set up while being pinned down by Swords. The second game was also tough. He got out his Vampire Lord and I was lucky enough to have Raigecki and Monster Reborn in my hand. I played Raigecki and then played Monster Reborn on his Vampire Lord before he could use its effect. Josh then played Dark Hole and got his Vampire Lord back. I drew my Pyramid Turtles on successive turns so in two attacks I brought out Vampire Lord and Ryu Kokki. I then drew Dark Core and removed his Vampire Lord from Play. After that the game was over. I took first place and won $15.00 in store credit.
I am no dueling expert but I really enjoy the game. I am sorry that I did not have more detail on the matches. Each one was lengthy and a lot of cards were played.
