The basic idea behind this deck is to come at your opponent full
throttle (hence the name) with basic monsters such as Skilled Dark Magician or
Thunder Nyan Nyan and then finish them off with the Chaos monsters. I also
added a certain amount of removal against Flip Effect Monsters because they get
annoying.
Round One vs. John (Beast Trample Deck)
For the first round, this kid
was really good. He won the coin toss and went first, beating me down for
awhile w/ Gorillas and Great Anguses. He got his Manticore out early but I
finished him off coming from behind with BLS and then CED. Close game
though.
Me: 8000-7000-4700-3700-1600-600
Him:
8000-9000-6700-4700-1700-0
Second game wasn’t as close all he had were Enraged Battle Ox with 1700 ATK
I had Thunder Nyan Nyans and Dark Ruler Hades running over his Nimble Momongas
so it went pretty quickly. I didn’t need BLS or CED in this one.
Me:
8000-7400-5700
Him: 8000-7800-7050-4600-3700-1800-0
Round Two vs. Matt (Normal Chaos Deck)
In a clash of chaos, our first
duel wasn’t too close. He got out BLS on turn two and crushed my LP before
I knew what hit me, and he took no LP damage at all.
Me:
8000-6900-3900-2000-0
Him: 8000
Our second game was pretty much the opposite, with me pummeling him down
using Reflect Bounder as defense and for attacking as well. He played Mage
Power on his Hades giving it something like 4450 ATK but I did Ring on it and
blew up the rest of his LP by doing so.
Me: 8000-7000-6400-1950
Him:
8000-6100-5000-3900-0
Each of our decks did well in one of the first two games and the third one
was really good. Both of our decks gave us full potential draws and the
name “Full Throttle” showed its difference from a basic chaos deck. He got
out CED and nuked on the third turn leaving us into a topdeck war, but I lucked
out and pulled Thunder Nyan Nyan on my first attempt. He couldn’t seem to
draw anything worth while for a couple turns so I beat him down with my monster
and eventually he flipped a Cyber Jar and I got 2 Archfiends and a DDWL and he
got a Mad Dog and his Witch. I attack DDWL to his Witch and remove them
from play, then suicide one Archfiend with his Mad Dog and direct attack with
the other, and he plays Cylinder to block it. I set Ring and Waboku and
end my turn. He plays Harpie’s Feather Duster, I chain Waboku, so he plays
a monster face-down and ends his turn. We went awhile without causing any
damage and then I finally drew Heavy Storm while he had 3 s/t down and destroyed
them all, then went in with BLS and finished him off.
Me:
8000-7700-3800-1900
Him: 8000-7200-6200-4300-2400-900-0
Round Three vs. Anthony (Exodia Necross Deck)
Okay, this guy’s deck was
incredibly tough. First game he got out Exodia in his hand in three turns
by 2 Emissaries of the Afterlife and the 2 searchers all suiciding into my
Archfiend.
Me: 8000-Loss By Exodia
Him: 8000-7200-6900-6000-5700
Second game I got out BLS and played Delinquent Duo getting rid of the
head, but he plays Painful Choice and puts all the other pieces away and summons
Necross which eventually beat me with its invincibility and brute force.
Me:
8000-7000-5600-4000-1700-0
Him: 8000-7500-6400-6200
