We got there like 5 minutes before they started. It was like wh0a. 4 of us went, Chad gave us a ride, with his wife, us being me and Craig, me and Craig live in the middle of nowhere so we thought it would be close. We get their, pay the cash and get a pack, my pack sucked, TP4 Magic Drain and some other crap, whoohoo -_- ..

Anyway it’s me Vs Chad’s wife Christina I think ._. .. She was playing beatdown and I was kinda afraid to go aggro, I mean Spirit Reapers can go aggro can’t they =/? Anyway, first game was a blur, all I can recall is a lot of top decking and a wicked Painful with no Sinister so I was confused as hell.. I gave her Airkinght out of like, Jinzo, Airknight, DD, or something.. All monsters. Anyway late game Cyber gave me a Reaper, w00t. Stall, then snatch Jinzo which was on the field for at least 4 turns with my face down Mirror Force. I was nervous because beatdown’s tempo is like, 1900, 1900, Injection, game. Pretty much I was afraid of anything so I had to force some topdecking, I won albeit with Jizz.

Game 2 was more topdecking, I felt like Yugi Vs God or something, sure he can kill me but I’ll topdeck Yata when you have no hand. Basically it was that, she got early beats but drew into a magic clot, which allowed some discard to lock. (If I am wrong lemme know -_-; I think that’s how it went but I have no idea or recollection of the game, I just td’d a Yata and it was like.. "x_x")

I got meh tree points and went on to play beatdown, out of all the decks I could play, I lose to some freaking’ random dude with blinding silver sleeves and a freaking’ terrible beatdown deck with two non foil spaces. Outrage, my l33tn3ss dropped like 5 points. Game 1 was like, swing, swing, pump and Ring. I had nothing, and I was running 2 MD Tomato which were all removed which lead to no search or Reapers so I side those and make quick adjustments. I noticed though people were running hella-loads of Don, which is now crap with the shift in the metagame, I had 2 sided for space because I forgot to buy two Messenger at work, and a Reaper, oh well, all’s well that end’s well I spose. Not, I needed two Messengers just for this guy, oh well. Second game I get pwned with 6 m/t and a Mirage which are spaced and feathered away which leads to td’ing.. NOTHING. The dude could have elbowed the tables and just yelled pwn. (Inside joke =/)

So then I am told that I could get into the finals, which is cool I guess. I mean no loss or gain from 6 bucks store credit. I walk around and eventually put my crap in the car, a lot of thieves at ShowTime. Anyway, I play Chad (Winner -_- of the tourney) and pwn him a game, 1-2. Then go off to play round 3 against a bad beatdown deck again. He had me sometime, but Rageki/Hole/Yata/Exiled had it from the beginning. I mean it was like.. Sure play that, Hole, Yata, Forceful, shake. He won one, lack of remembering makes it hard to post. I think he just got quick 1900’s and took out my Reapers with Holes and ‘Geki’s 2-1 isn’t bad I guess. But that 2-1 makes me a 5 pt loser and shy a point. I get beat by a guy running Summoned Skull and cack. I did find the weakness in my deck though and found some adjustments and realize I need more answers to beatdown.

Some advice though, never go to ShowTime, it’s like a bunch of losers with beatdown and Don’s maindecked. Not to mention 3 Pyramid Turtle as staple, that or Nimble. I could of smacked half of the kids their with a starter deck, they also complain a lot. And a few do smell like ass =/..

In the end I got a Senshi that’s the highlight right their buddy. A Senshi for the fusion deck. Anyway if you learned anything from this report, take a look at my chart below.
