Trading Card Game Tips from fans

Subject: hi, once again I believe I send this to you for yugioh tips. Let me know,,,

-Quacktastic - Forest Thomer

Hello, again

Do any of you have a crazy friend? A friend who likes to hop around singing songs that make no sense. Or get mad at you because they never beat you in anything, then blame it all on luck? Do you have a friend who is the living incarnation of Pegasus? I do, his name is Tim Wickelhaus, and he is a weird duck. On that note, his favorite yu-gi-oh card is none other than Sonic Duck. You remember that 1700 three star beatstick who runs around tripping on water buckets. Well this article is fully dedicated to my friend, who on occasion, I'm not admitting anything:P, has his string of bad luck. Like when he swarms the field and I have 300 LP. left. Stop his four monsters from finishing me off with scapegoat. Then top deck Dark Hole (3 out of 4 games. I call it skill he says I'm yugi.) Or like in the good old days where I'd pot, pot, duo, graceful, pot then summon 3 Blue-Eye's White Dragons and 2 XYZ Dragon Cannons by my 4th move. I say skill, he calls it luck. My "luck" as he refers to it, is what forced him to play off the wall decks, and give me inspiration to leave the cookie cutter behind. Decks like relinquished burn, and some other things I hope to get posted (PLEASE HELP ME GET ON THE FRONT PAGE!!!) Well one of Tim's best achievements was his devotion to the Duck Deck. He is obsessed with sonic duck, he has over 6 pages in his trade binder (18 cards per 6 pages= over 108 Sonic Ducks) dedicated to this lovely monster. And it is this deck (among his other weenie rush decks (he loves the word weenie, never could figure that out)) that I will always remember him by. So with no more words I introduce the Duck Deck,

Sonic Duck x 42

Monster x 20

3 x Sonic Duck
3 x Mad Lobster
3 x Jerry Beans Man
3 x Swarm of Scarabs
2 x Swarm of Locusts
3 x Spirit Reaper
1 x magician of faith
1 x sangan
1 x Elemental Hero Wildheart

magic x 13

3 x smashing
2 x Non Spellcasting Area
2 x Dark Factory of Mass Production

1 x dark hole
1 x heavy storm
2 x Level Limit Area B
1 x snatch steal
1 x premature

trap x 9

3 x sakuretsu armor
1 x torrential tribute
1 x call of the haunted
2 x blast with chain
2 x Gravity Bind

I have changed nothing from this deck. This is what he used against me and this is how I am showing it to all of you. The deck needs work, all decks need work. Thus it is up to you all to show me completed deck lists, ideas, etc. as you see fit, in order to help this deck become more of a tournement archetype.

One of the ideas I had, was the use of enchanted fitting room, maybe some royal decrees or my body as a shield. Try it out, let me know what works and what doesn't. That is why I post these articles. My hope is that by showing this creative deck building, all of you will be inspired to throw down, in a much more amusing style.

THIS DECK BEAT ME, so Tim, you want a freaking cookie or something :P

(One of his favorite sayings)

How does the almighty Forest fall at the beak of Sonic Duck and company, (Well Forest was having an off day, just couldn't draw my dark hole :P And Forest was completely un- prepared for the synergy.) Notice Dark Factory of Mass production. Instant 2 for 1. Plus you have to take into consideration the reason the monsters where in the graveyard to begin with. Also, non-spellcasting area, a card I used way back in the day when I was showing off my 7 tribute BEWD deck. Sweetness, as much as people talk about one for ones, smashing grounds as a must, dark hole a five for potential 1. Non-spell casting area laughs. Imagine my plee, 2 face down monsters. Tim with his 2 Sonic Ducks and his stupid, so stupid looking lobster, (Which my snatch steal, smashing ground, and in hand dark hole where useless against.) He activates his dark hole, guess what people 2 for one. Sense his magic card makes his normal monsters un-effected. Then he attacks and I flip my widespread ruin and sakuretsu armor. Smiling because now I have defeated the dumb ducks. And the lobster hits me for 1700. His main phase 2, Dark Factory, and he sets a monster. I draw into my breaker and have a choice between non- spell casting or level limit area-B. Guess what people, the 3 star monsters have the game. The face down bugs are biting at instant 1 + hits and those stupid monsters are owning the game, even my DD Assailant can't run them over. Jerry Beans Man, 0 def. with no effect means nothing when you can't kill the stupid thing. Also notice the blast with chains, so cool against mobius, so stupid to get hit for 2200 damage by a Sonic Duck. Can anybody tell cyber dragon his metallic ass was just kicked by a duck. Don't it will hurt his super charged ego.

I really was impressed with this deck, and it has opened allot of new deck ideas. Normal monsters are quite playable, sonic duck is a beast, winged beast but still :P

wait for my next post as I will show you the power of the VWXYZ monsters, as I attempt to take the archetype in a whole new direction, completly cutting it off from the standard build. When you see it you will ask yourself, (How in the ducks eye does this work:P)

- I have 3 comments, my first is that due to the arrival of Armed Dragon lv. 10 I have fallen in love with the card. So powerful, so shiny, so impossable to pull off. If anybody has been captivated by this dragon, please give me a heads up. I'd really like to hear from you. Give me some ideas, tell me a little bit about the deck. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Don't be afraid to ask questions and never feel inferior. For in this game much like life, those who take chances can thrive when somthing interferes with their ecosystem. Think about the last time you heard of Wilson Luc making top 8 or "T". In order to thrive we must search for new ways to approach problems. What works now will not always be, thus flexibilty is the key to survivng.

I'd also like to hear some shout outs for Max, the current U.S. national champion. He is never mentioned as one of the games better players. The man innovated the game, he used off the wall tech and won the national championships. Lets hear it for him. Who cares what other sites or other players think, the guy can duel and should be respected in the game. He did not follow cookie cutter rules, and achieved with off the wall tech. He should be seen as a yu-gi-oh idol. For anyone willing to try out that which is not explored, deserve some credit. And this year, when I win the national championships (you'll see what I mean by weird tech:P)

3rdly, Tim, my soooo stupid friend is in the process of ending his yu-gi-oh career. His wife, which from hence fourth will be known to me as "He-women-Man-hater" is killing my friends dueling spirit. I also apologize for beating you all the time. I don't want to draw horrible and lose on behalf of luck as you do, I just wish I did not show boat my victories by winning games with you at negative 9000. You are a great player who deserves to be next to me in the top 8. Hopefully by Shonen Jump we can achieve such a goal and walk away with the prize. For those of you reading this, please send an e-mail to "tim wickelhaus" < wickelht@gmail.com>, and let him know what you think of his deck. Try to encourage him. For those of you that do, I appreciate your concern.

Well for now goodbye, remember never fall into normality.

I can be contacted at, Tebezu@gmail.com

if you want help with decks, or got some cool idea let me know

Life is a learning experience, and in the words of my now dumbfounded friend.

:"Don't be a WEENIE!"
