Deck Fix: Blinding Light - Master of Shadows

Hello, everyone. Master of Shadows has another deck fix for you, so let's get to it. First, the message:

I thought this deck would work very well seeing that a similar deck at a local tournament flowed very well. I was wondering what fixes could be made to this to make it a force to be reckoned with.

MONSTERS:
Shining Angel X3
Soul of purity and light X2
Cyber Dragon X2*
Prime Material Dragon X3
Dimensional Alchemist X2
Cybernetic Magician
DD warrior lady
Different dimension dragon
Marshmallon
Calculator*
Treeborn Frog

SPELLS:
Enemy controller X2
DDR X2
Lightning vortex X2
Creature swap
Swords
Heavy
MST
Soul exchange
Scapegoat
Monster reborn

TRAPS:
Miraculous decent X3
Bottomless trap hole X2
Magic cylinder
Trap dustshoot
Mirror force
Torrential tribute

SIDE DECK:
Need one if possible

A Light deck, I see. I like this, but there are tons of unnecessary cards in here, but that's why I'm here. Time to go to work.

Cards to cut:

- 1 Prime Material Dragon

- 1 Cybernetic Magician

- 1 Different Dimension Dragon

- 1 The Calculator

- 1 Soul Exchange

- 1 Scapegoat

- 3 Miraculous Descent

- 1 Magic Cylinder

I cut out 10 cards. Hmm. That could be good. It may not be. The third Prime Material Dragon is a bit excessive, so I cut one. (You can side deck the third.) Cybernetic Magician has better options. Different Dimension Dragon can easily be destroyed by all the big monsters that are so easily dropped. The Calculator is best used in a swarm deck or a deck based on The Calculator OTK (Cyber Dragon + The Calculator + Guardian of Order + clear opponent's field = 9100 damage). Soul Exchange is really only used in Tribute-heavy decks, and this isn't one of them. Scapegoat can be side decked. Miraculous Descent is for Fairy decks with a heavy emphasis on removing things from play, and you don't have enough decent Fairies in here to make good use of it. Besides, you already have D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation. Magic Cylinder because it's best in a Burn deck or a heavily defensive one.

Now to add things.

+ 2 Majestic Mech - Ohka

+ 2 Majestic Mech - Goryu

+ 1 Soul of Purity of Light

+ 2 Nova Summoner / Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter

+ 2 Arcana Force 0 - The Fool

+ 1 Premature Burial

+ 1 Return from the Different Dimension

I added in 11 cards, bringing you to 41. That still works. Ohka to help fill the Graveyard while handling any 2400 attack or less threat you need taken care of. It really helps when you need a monster just to take something else out real quick. Goryu for something of the same purpose with Trample. That extra Soul of Purity and Light for some Tribute bait as well as to remove more cards. Nova Summoner to also aid in Graveyard filling as well as working with Shining Angel for constant Tribute bait. The Fool for Tribute bait as well as being something of a Marshmallon, so to speak. Premature Burial because it was missing from the deck. Return from the Different Dimension because you'll be removing a lot, so why not finish with a big swarm?

Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter can be used in place of Nova Summoner since it can destroy quite a few things with its effect. It also dumps 3 cards into your Graveyard, helping you fill it up with removal bait.

Pretty much, what I did here was I tried to help along your removal theme with Soul of Purity and Light as your "engine" for lack of a better term, and tossed in a Return from the Different Dimension to help you win a bit, much in the same way that one may have tossed in a Return from the Different Dimension in a Chaos deck (like I did back in the day) because of the removing. Personally, for my deck, I'd use Freed the Brave Wanderer, but why not break away from the norm? If there's a good idea that's been overlooked, why not make the best of it? I love the Dimensional Alchemist in here, by the way. One of my favorite cards to use, especially because of some of the tricks I've pulled with it.

Well, that's all I have for this. Enjoy playing it. Questions, comments, suggestions, etc. can be sent to darkdestructionv30@yahoo.com

Also, on another note, I'm still a little backed up with the deck fixes (I have more than 20 here to do), so it may take a while before I get to yours, but be patient. I will get to them all, even as they keep pouring in.

Well, that's it.

Until next time....
