 Norleras - BlackVoid

Sky  Scourge Norleras is a fun card at the very least. (And pretty to look at, excellent art) Anyone can see the potential, but I've seen very few Norleras decks that consistently work. So here's the best deck I've come up with. Btw, sorry this is so long. Was trying to be detailed.

Sky Scourge Norleras
8 Stars
2400 ATK/1500 DEF
Fiend/Effect
This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by removing from play 1 LIGHT Fairy type monster and 3 DARK fiend type monsters in your graveyard. You can pay 1000 life points to send all cards on the field and in both player's hands to the graveyard, then you draw one card.

We see that this is the un-banned version of CED. Higher summoning requirements and lesser gain after the field gets nuked, but this is to be expected. The objective of the deck is to nuke all enemy resources and kill them as quickly as possible by topdecking monsters.

I will say 3 things before the deck list. One, the requirements may seem hefty, but realize that fiends and fairys are 2 of the most supported types in the game. There are also plenty of ways to dump things to the grave nowadays. With key cards like Foolish Burial, Magical Marionette, Sangan, Morphing Jar, and Snipe Hunter (which dumps cards by discarding them and destroying them if need be) it doesn't take too long to dump 4 cards.

Two, to be entirely truthful, Norleras isnt the best deck around...yet. The recent ban list, which really slowed down Tele-DAD and Glad beasts, has helped Norleras very much, but if you had to win a duel to save your life, you would use something else. Norleras is best used in casual play, duelist leagues, and minor tournaments (not like there are major tournaments right now anyways.)

3, Phantom of Chaos really isn't recommended because if you do get norleras' effect off you dont want to be topdecking 0 ATK/0 DEF monsters. It's better to do it the old fashioned way.

So here we go. I will offer some explamations and other ideas for the deck afterwards.

Monsters: 24
x3 Sky Scourge Norleras (Fiend)
x3 Giant Germ (Fiend)
x3Archfiend Soldier (Fiend)
x3 Nova summoner (Fairy)
x2 Majestic Mech - Ohka (Fairy)
x2 Newdoria (Fiend)
x1 Snipe Hunter (Fiend)
x1 Sangan (Fiend)
x1 Marshmallon (Fairy)
x1 Dancing Fairy (Fairy)
x1 Morphing Jar
x1 Magical Marionette
x1 Spirit Reaper
x1 Breastking Barbaros
Which gives us 13 fiends and 7 Fairies.

Spells: 9
x1 Swords of Revealing Light
x1 Giant Trunade
x1 MST
x1 Lightning Vortex
x1 Foolish Burial
x1 Heavy Storm
x1 Nightmare steelcage
x1 Monster Reborn
x1 Smashing Ground

Traps: 7
x3 Dark Bribe
x1 Mirror Force
x1 Magic Vylinder
x1 Torrential
x1 Sakuretsu

There you go. Best I've found yet. The high monster amount makes sure that you wont have a shortage of them after you bomb the field with Norleras, and also lets you dump more monsters with magical marionette (ONLY use if you have a Norleras in your hand, you don't want to dump him, too) Giant germ=Good mini burn and multiplies. Barbaros=Since a lot of cards summon more of themselves, and you have stall, you can possibly use his 3 tribute effect and nail a quick 3000. I've done it. Dark bribe>Solemn here because you will be trashing anything your opponent draws anyway. 3 Norlerases (or Norleri, not sure whcih xD) because you can summon multiple ones in a duel, and because not having a Norleras in your hand is the biggest barrier to summoning him.

Some other ideas include using Kuribohs and Winged Kuribohs, which are fiends and Fairies, alonng with flute of summoning Kuriboh to dump food into the grave, get the weak monsters out of your deck, and protect you. Gadgets are also useful for grabbing more monsters after Norleras' effect, but suffer because they're machines. :(
Good luck trying it out.
