Harpie's Pet Dragon

Mai's fav Dragon! ~_^

In a sense, this card is a lot like Dark Magician Girl (future card) with some differences. It's 2 Tributes. That alone makes it not so playable. Also due the fact that you have to have a lot of Harpie Ladies out on the field to make it good... Right now, it might not seem really playable. In the future though, we will get some decent supporters like Harpie Lady SB (future card)...

Until then, don't bother with this card.

Rating: 2/5
Yonex Harpie's Pet Dragon -- Monday

Introduction: Can i get a collar with that?

Anaylsis: Back with Harpie's Pet Dragon. Like the show, it powers up for
each Harpie Lady on the field (would be better if it says Harpie Brother too). Well still not bad. However if you build your deck correctly. You can possibly bring this monster out with some ease. The defense is what makes this card a bit better. 2500 DEF is almost impossible to kill without tributing and/or kill spells. This card would made especially for those Harpie decks (duh). Using the "Rising Air" Card it boosts this monster much bigger making it Summoned Skull size.

However, paying 2 tributes for this monster is very steep. Getting 2
monsters out these days is very hard, unless you use Cyber Jar, but still a luck game. Also it being a dragon type can make it bad. Beware of Dragon Capture Jar's and Buster Blader (uh right). Well the pathetic 2000 for 2 tribute mosnter is horrible. It should be at least 2300.

Rating: Horrible monster overall, but if your building a Harpie deck good
luck. This monster gets a 2.5. Maybe you can just dump this card and reborn it? Well can't use this in tournament, which is bad :/

Conclusion: Stick to Harpie Brother.
wartortle32 Monday - Harpy's Pet Dragon

Today we look at Harpy's pet dragon, one of Mai's staple cards. This card gets a 300 ATK and DEF boost for each harpy lady on the field. According to
Konami, this also counts for Harpy Lady Sisters, but you get a 300 booster from her, not 900.

Seeing as how this is a level 7 card, it isn't all that good. If it were one level lower, then it would be quite playable. But since you have to tribute 2,
you would be much better off going with a BEWD instead. Even if you have 3 Harpy ladies on the field, HPD will still be weaker than the BEWD. But
if you're running a fun theme deck around harpy's lady, you'll probably go with this card as it goes with your theme perfectly.

I give this card a 2/5. Not really a card for serious duelists. More for a fun deck.
