Wednesday - Graverobber

Wow.  This has the possibility of being one of the most underrated cards in the game.  For a mere 2000 LP, you can use your opponent's Raigeki, Heavy Storm, Pot of Greed, or other game-breaking Magic card.  This card could single-handedly win you the game.  Combine it with Confiscation or Delinquent Duo and your opponent will be hurting!...

...

...OK, so maybe I'm hyping this card up a little bit, but it's one of those nasty surprises that your opponent will not see coming.  Enjoy the look on their faces when you turn their own Magic card against them.  It's fun ^_^

Score: 3.0 (it just may be one of the most underrated cards in the set, or a total bust.  You decide.  I actually have the Japanese version of this card, but it's completely useless to me! ._.)

Graverobber
Normal Trap
You can take 1 Magic Card from your opponent’s Graveyard. If it is your turn and you activate it, you take 2000 points of Direct Damage. If it is your opponent’s turn, you cannot activate it. The Magic Card is returned to your opponent’s Graveyard at the end of this turn.

This is definitely a really interesting card. It's similar to Magician of Faith but it has it ups and downs. The good thing about this card is that it's a Trap card, so you don't have to waste your one normal summon per turn on a Magician of Faith. The downsides are that sometimes it's useless as your opponent might not have any good Magic cards in his graveyard and the HEFTY 2000 damage required to play the Magic Card. I don't really like cards that are not too reliable like this one. If you are going to play this card, I really don't recommend you to play more than two copies of it.

Wednesday - Graverobber

Today we look at one of Joey's cards, Graverobber.  You pay 2000 LP to use one of the opponent's magic cards.

With a steep cost of 2000, you should only really use this in do or die situations. Usually, you will get at least one of those situations every game. However,
I'm not too fond of this card for 3 reasons. First because if you are in a do or die situation, you're probably not going to have 2000 LP left to play.  Second, magic cards can be easily countered. And third, the opponent will need good magic cards in order for this to work at all. Now if it allowed you to take magic cards from either graveyard, that would be a lot better.

I give this card a 2.5/5. It can certainly win the game for you, but I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages here.

Yonex Graverobber -- Wednesday

Introduction: Oh, I get to borow your Raigeki, Thanks! HAHAHAHHAHA!

Normal Trap
You can take 1 Magic Card from your opponent’s Graveyard. If it is your turn
and you activate it, you take 2000 points of Direct Damage. If it is your
opponent’s turn, you cannot activate it. The Magic Card is returned to your
opponent’s Graveyard at the end of this turn.

Why should you use it?
*Recycle magic
*Counters Magician of Faith

Why shouldn't you use it?
*Losing 2000 Life Points
*Last 1 turn

Reasons: Today we look at one of Joey's card, Graverobber. This card is
basically like the TV show, except Joey didn't ahve topay 2000 Life Points
(of course he would be dead). This card basically swipes an opponent magic
so you can re-use it. Maybe they have a Raigeki or a game-breaking card?
Well if ruling is right, I believe you can use this to counter Magician of
Faith. How? You let your opponent flip over Magician of Faith, then you flip
over this card, then activate it to do it before they get thier Magic Card,
countering their MoF effect. Now the main downside of this card. You lose
2000 Life Points, which is a lot these days, since most decks are really
deadly kills. This card last 1 turn, so you can't really use any Permanent
Magic Cards, which some times you need to get the win.

Rating: Joey's favorite card, but defitantely not my pick for a good card.
There are way better cards tha this, Light of Intervention and/or Ceasefire
to counter effects. This card really wont' see any play, unless your pretty
much playing like the show. This gets a 2.3 in the don't get section.

Conclusion:
Joey: I activate this Trap Card, call Grave Robber.....to get.....
Tremendous Fire! You are defeated!
D00d: You forgot the activation of 2000 Life Points, you just lost.
Hahhahaha!
Joey: I will never play this card again!

Yet another super cool picture!!! ^.^ I love the way this card looks but I would only use it in combo, control and Exodia decks. I don't think Beatdown can really use this card but then again I've seen Beatdown decks packing Solemn Judgment. Having to pay 2000 Life Points sounds really bad but keep in mind that your normal Monster like La Jinn will hit you for 1800. If my opponent had two Monsters in play I wouldn't think twice about taking his Raigeki. In an Exodia deck I wouldn't mind paying 2000 to get a Pot of Greed and thin out my deck even more. It just depends of what type of player you are and on how well you can use this card.

There are a lot of times when this card can save you, it's just a matter of knowing when to use it. Also keep in mind that old saying... no pain no gain.

The effect is nice, it's the cost of 2000 Life Points that hurts it. If it wasn't for that, I'd love the card.

Being able to recycle Magic Cards through Magician of Faith as well as Graverobber would have been insane. When you think about it, the cost of 2000 Life Points is a good thing. If it wasn't for that, EVERY deck would be packing a playset of these things.

Now back to reality. Graverobber is crap. And the worse part is the fact that it's a foil card. That means if you pull one of these, you lost the chance of pulling a decent / good foil. I really dislike it when Upperdeck / Konami makes such unplayable cards into Super and Ultra Rares.

Rating: 1.5/5

Minus the 2000 Life Point deduction and you have a broken card.

I was waiting for a 'Change of Heart' to use on your opponent's magic cards
^_^..it's just awesome..2000 LP is a small price to pay to take your
opponents Monster Reborn when you really need one..But the thing is..if you
get a Quickplay Magic card..you can't use it when your opponent attacks you
