Mind Crush, a Restricted Card, that was Restricted before, is a Control-Combo card.  You declare a card name, and if your opponent holds said card, any and all copies of it in their Hand go to the Graveyard.  If you call wrong, you discard a random card from your Hand to the Graveyard.  So, either you call this when you know something you want to get rid of in the opponent's Hand, or you can take an educated guess, based on the Deck being run, and the time in the Duel, knowing what has and hasn't been played.  It can be useful against OTK/FTK Decks too, again, IF you know what's coming.

Mind Crush

A member of the Semi-Limited Club. If the opponent searches with, oh, say, the Sangan they summoned with Tour Guide, you can snipe their Veiler/new Tour Guide and look at their hand. It also works with the now-playable Trap Dustshoot and the chainable Spiritual Water Art - Aoi.

Even better, since Pot of Duality has now been made available for everyone, you'll have way more chances to use it. They grab Dark Hole/Monster Reborn/the best card on the top of their deck, and you take it out while seeing their other options, and they still can't special summon for the turn. If you can run anything that supports it, or searchers are popular in your meta, run it, or keep it in your side deck.

Art: I remember looking at this and thinking, "That guy is weird."
Fun Fact: When you activate this card, do the hand motion and say "MIND CRUSH!" If you don't, you're not cool.

Friday:

Today's card is one that has found a comfortable home in nearly every competitive side deck out there. I'm talking, of course, about Yami Yugi from Yugioh Abridged's signature move itself, Mind Crush. Mind Crush is sort of like a Trap Dustshoot, though you have to know what you're looking for when you play it. However, the fact that nearly every competitive deck under the sun toolboxes like a mofo, Mind Crush is a useful side against nearly every deck. And now that we have two of them, we'll have to find a new card to take the awkward single-slot in the side deck. I know I'll be siding two!
