Continuing along, we look at Ignition Beast Volcannon, a fairly ingenious punny name. We have a Fusion Monster, of the Earth attribute, and a Level 6 Machine, with 2300 attack and 1600 defense. That's not all too impressive, but he's relatively easy to Fuse, requiring a Machine and a Pyro-type Monster to do so, as opposed to one or more specifically named Monsters. What gets me is, if you're playing Machines OR Pyros, do you need to be using a wacky hybrid of both, or splashing in the other just to play this card? Probably not, and just splashing in random cards hoping to do something isn't usually a good idea either. I suppose you could Limiter this guy but that's counter productive, as you can only use his effect when he's Fusion Summoned. You can target a Monster your opponent controls, then that card and this card are destroyed. If both Monsters are destroyed, your opponent takes Damage equal to the attack of the Monster destroyed via this effect. Honestly, there are better ways to go about that too, and easier ways. Note too that Monster has to go to the Graveyard, so say your opponent removed that Monster, or instead saved it, you're down one Monster, plus the utilities used to form it.

Volcannon is a Fusion monster that requires any of 1 Machine monster and 1 Pyro monster to summon. When it's Fusion summoned, target 1 monster your opponent controls and destroy it, then destroy this card. If both monsters are destroyed like this, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of your opponent's destroyed monster that was targeted. Instant destruction of your opponent's monster upon summoning is pretty good. Burning your opponent for the ATK of their destroyed monster after destroying it is even better. Yeah you lose your monster, but so does your opponent after they lose LPs as well and you could use Monster Reborn on it. To get out Volcannon, I hear a Flamvell deck with a Nitro Synchron or two tossed in can get this out. Team with Rekindling to get out that just fusioned monster. I believe that this card is a bit of a sleeper card, and unfortunately it may get overlooked just because it is a Fusion monster.

Today we are looking at: Ignition Beast Volcannon

This is an interesting card that fit with the upcoming new fusion monsters. While I admit that it could have some interesting uses, I realllly don't like fusion monsters outside of E-Hero decks. Without a solid engine to run the deck it falls into the category of neat card, not usable outside of casual. (I don't play very much in casual, outside of testing)

So this monster is one of the only fusion monsters Cosmo Blazer. It has a decent effect but it isn’t really that great. This card can be summoned with Fusion Gate and Chain Material. That is probably the only way you would ever want to summon it. It can cause some burn damage and destroy a monster but it destroys itself in the process. If it was easier to summon and/or didn’t self-destruct it would have been much better. I might be wrong but right now Volcannon probably isn’t worth using.

-I think this card is just bad. It might see some use in a deck built around it but there are better cards to use.

Next we have a 5Ds Manga card, in this case Ignition Beast Volcannon; one of the Fusion monsters Greiger used in his duel against Yusei. Of course I love manga cards, so I am pretty happy to see this being released; in fact this was my number 1 card for the top 10. Why because of its effect. Along time ago there was a card called Ring of Destruction a powerful card that destroy a monster and both players lost life points equal to the destroyed monster’s ATK. In fact it was so powerful it was banned.

Ignition Beast Volcannon is a variant of Ring of Destruction but in Fusion Monster form. This time this and your opponent’s monster get destroyed but only your opponent loses life points. This is really good; I will admit that you are giving up 4 cards (the two fusion material, this and the fusion card) to destroy 1 monster and deal some damage to your opponent’s life points, but at least it’s balanced.

Overall, a really powerful effect but it does consume a lot of resources, also it has some strange fusion material requirements, but still it’s a fun card to play with.
