It must be about 2 months since I lasted posted anything, and I’m about as much missed as Smallpox. The only mail I’ve been getting of late has been the odd ruling question or a ‘Love your work, rate my deck’ sort of thing, Lovely. Well I’m not going to reply to that sort of thing any more, what’s the point? I appreciate the responses, don’t get me wrong, and I’d usually love to answer someone and help them along if they genuinely did like my work and weren’t just saying  that for a quick fix, but  I’m sure these people don’t really care, so now neither do I. I’m through with it now, fix your own decks, that‘s not my job and it never has been.

 

Any who, rant over, the four people who’ll read this can rest easy, it’s not going to be one of them again, actually this article should be pretty positive.

 

So, I’m sure you’re both wondering where I’ve been lately? Well between my homework, job and school and not to mention Marvel Ultimate Alliance (which is now completed , costumes and everything, so w00t) I haven’t had time to breathe let alone write. Yu-Gi-Oh sort of faded into the background so to speak, but now it’s Christmas, and pretty much my one year anniversary. How cool is that? Even though I haven’t posted in about 2 months like I said, I have indeed been here about a year, and now that I’ve got some time on my hands, I’ll try my best to devote to this privilege as much as I can, because I’d never take my position here for granted.

 

A lot has changed in this past year, and now this game is really on the road to recovery . We’re in the Golden Age of dueling here folks, it has to be said. Nothing’s broke the meta yet, new things work and UDE are on a roll, what with the RECENT banning of the one and only Cyber Stein, and the influence they finally have in the way the game is run. 2oo7 is gonna be sweet , mark my words.

 

Without beating around the bush, I’ll just dive straight into it. As I’m sure you’re all aware , come January we’ll be receiving a very special set of 3 cards that will be readily available as well as Meta changing.  I am of course talking about the Gadgets. 3 little dudes who can search each other out like no body’s business and reek some major mayhem on the opponents monster count. I’ll be getting myself some, I can tell you that, and over the next week or so I’ll be devoting myself to a few new decks revolving around these guy’s where I’ll take a stab at developing a groovy “Ra-dget” deck revolving around these guys and Giant Rat. I’ll also be trying to get the term “Ra-dget” to catch on, a task that may be more impossible than getting CED off the ban list. I’ll also be squeezing Phoenix into as many new deck’s as I can lately, as well as focusing on the Machine genre in general which are albeit slightly weakened by Cyber Stein’s recent departure, still they are up there with Warrior in terms of themed support, so it’s not exactly the end of the world.

 

I just thought I’d get this short message out there to get you guys prepared for my swift and perhaps short-lived return, and also the to give “Ra-dget” decks a head start on the cooky names this. I almost nailed it with the “Regressive Format” so I reckon I’ve got a pretty good chance at making this catch on, lets hope so anyway. Also, other than dueling the Grinch, I’m struggling for ideas on how to squeeze in a Christmas dueling story . Any inspiration would be well received since a few of you liked my Halloween story.
