Monday - Mechanical Chaser

Today's COTD is Mechanical Chaser.  The most
impressive thing about this monster is its attack
power.  It's got an 1850 attack strength, stronger
than any level 4 or less monster in the English game
so far.  Unfortunately, you can only get it in
tournament packs, and in addition, they're really
rare.  You have to be really lucky to get one of
these.  But don't go crazy over trying to get some of
these for your deck.  There will be even stronger
level 4 monsters coming later which are much easier to
get.

If you do happen to come across one, you should
definitely put it in your deck as it belongs in every
deck.

I give this card 5/5.  It's the best level 4 non
effect monster in English. You'd be crazy to have one
and not play it.

This week is tourney card week, and we're starting the week off with the extremely rare Mechanicalchaser.

Card Text:
Dark/Machine/4/1850/800
No effect.

Analysis:
This is by far the rarest English card available right now, as they come in tourney packs at a rate of 1:108 packs.  If you can ever get a hold of one of these, you have 2 choices.  You can either play it in your deck, or you can sell it for a LOT of money (I've seen them go for $150+ online).

Honestly, if you can't get at least 2 of them, I would sell it.

Why?

Dark Elf destroys it just as easily as it destroys a La Jinn or 7 Colored Fish.  Sure, it can outpower Jinn or Fish, but if you only have 1, your only true hope of getting it is with Witch of the Black Forest, and that's better saved for Dark Elf or Magician of Faith.

Honestly, this card is overrated.  I'll come out and admit that.

But it sells for a lot =D

Should YOU play it?
Well, if you can get ahold of at least 2, by all means.  If you only have 1, it's really your choice.  I currently have none, so that makes my decision easy.

Score:
Even though it's overrated, I give Mechanicalchaser a 5.0.  Why?

1. It's the most powerful English Level 4 no effect monster.
2. It sells for a LOT of money.

If it wasn't so rare, it would get a 4.0 or something.

Monday - Mechanical Chaser

This is easily the rarest card in North America for the fact that it's an Ultra Rare in an already hard-to-find "expansion".

I've seen individual Tournament Packs on Ebay go for as much as 30$. Then you take into account that Mechanical Chaser's rarity ratio is one in every 108 Tournament Packs. I doubt many people have a play set of these.

Here are the stats for Mechanical Chaser -

TP1-001 Mechanical Chaser
Type: Normal Monster
DARK/Machine
Level 4
1850/800

The first and main reason that makes this card so great is the 1850 ATK. That extra 50 ATK means the difference between life and death versus the highly played La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp and 7 Colored Fish.

Then you ask yourself, "Can it get any better?". The simple answer is yes. If you look at Dark Elf, Summoned Skull, La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp, and Mechanical Chaser you will realize that they're ALL Dark monsters. That has deck potential right there.

By the time people start to get a play set of these, I doubt 7 Colored Fish will be played much anymore. Possibly in Water based decks in the future, but it won't be as highly played as it is now.

Overall Mechanical Chaser is VERY good (Atleast for now), but also VERY hard to come by.

Rating: 4.9/5 (This is based on the current Metagame)
