Moray of Greed …

Another nice and simple spell card. And one that breaks u absolutely even. Assuming u are running primarily water based monsters (which u would have to be in order to even CONSIDER playing this card), if u have 2 in your hand that are doing nothing for u? – u swap them back in your deck and draw 3 cards. A card that lets u draw 3 cards is a rare thing indeed (god, I miss Graceful Charity), but u really only end up replacing the 2 monsters u subbed back in and the Moray spell card.

It’s not bad, as often people have cards in hand that they aren’t making use of yet, and its nice to be able to trade them for 3 new ones. However, the best cards (and the ones u hope to be playing with) are the ones that u always WANT to have in hand … not (usually) the ones that are slowing u down by having drawn. Pot of Avarice recycles cards already lost to u in the graveyard and allows u to draw 2 cards, which is what makes it good. Moray of Greed assumes u to regularly come upon cards in hand that u would rather NOT have ever drawn … so the question is then – 1) how many cards like that do u actually PLAY in your deck? … and 2) Why on earth do u then continue to play them?

Oh, and the picture literally grosses me out … … uhg, makes me want to throw up for some reason … :(

Todays card of the day is Moray of Greed, which is basically gladiator beasts respite for water monsters. This card can come in handy for players running water themed decks to help them set up perfect hands, if you manage to draw this turn 1,then you should be able to thin your deck a bit and get out better combos quickly. This card is better and worse than a lot of other draw themed cards which require you to dumb a monster and draw too, as you do not lose any monsters to the graveyard, but you also cant abuse cards that require cards in the graveyard which is what cards like Solar Recharge\Destiny Draw do. This card doesn’t give you a plus 1,but it will speed up your deck. Over all this is a great card, that was in much need for an under supported archetype.

Traditional: 4/5
Advanced: 5/5(It helps out water monsters a lot, as they don’t really have any draw cards)
Art: 5/5 (Pot of Greed outs a smile on my face)

Moray of Greed:

I like more support for other attributes other than light and dark. This card happens to fall into that category, thus, Im fond of it. Being able to draw 3 cards is awesome, having to have 2 water monsters in your hand that you don't need to do so is less awesome. If you could dump the two cards to the grave, this card would be broken and just what water decks needed. Instead, its fair, and it still what water decks need; more support. On a side note, I have a really fun frog deck that uses this card to great extent, so don't overlook this card for water based decks. Happy Holidays everyone!
