Omastar's a cool pokemon. Nice HP,
cool attacks. Most decks KO your pokemon by doing more damage then
they have HP. Omastar decks do damage, then REDUCE your opponents
HP to get KOs.
He works well alone and with something like Steelix, to pile on
damage to a bunch of your opponent's pokemon and then Pull Down
for a few KOs.
Unlimited 1/5
Modified 3.8/5 I really like him here, but you need a solid bench
hitter to work with him Limited 3.5/5 Great card, nice attacks,
but again you gotta get all the stages x.x

Omastar
Overview: Ooook, I don't understand why Hedge picked 2 cards we
have already done before, but whatever ;x. 110HP is the highest
Omastar we have seen yet. Weakness to Lightning is normal for the
water pokemon. For one colorless energy, Pull Cannon is like Mew's
De-Evolution beam except now you can use it on ALL evolutions your
opponent has which is OHHH. For 2 colorless energy, Hydrocannon
does 30 damage plus 20 more for every water energy attached to
Omastar. A few draw backs here. First off, the energy cant be used
to pay for the attack. Bummer. And second, you can't add more than
40 in that way. Meaning only 2 will work. Retreat of 2 is good for
an 110HP pokemon. Could be worse. All in all, Omastar from SS is
much better then the fossil one.
Unlimited: 2/5
Modified: 3.5/5
Draft: Being a stage 2, it will be hard to draft espeacilly when
the basic is Mysterious Fossil. Anyways, if you do draft it, I
think you SHOULD use it for the Hydro Canon. 2 energy for 30-70
damage is pwnage. 4/5

I am really starting to like the trend
of traditionally crappy cards starting to turn good. Omastar is
just one of the resent trends. Now I don't like when they keep
putting out sub par versions of previous cards. Now that has got
to stop. Anyway...
Unlimited- I don't really even need to read the cards that come
out of most sets nowadays. The vast majority of them suck in
Unlimited, is this card any different? Not really. I guess you
could run one in Blastoise, but first, it's not that good anymore,
and two, there are better choices. If evo was played more often I
might like this, in fact, I would. Alas, evo is not played that
often in Unlimited so it can't be that great. Oh yeah, and it
evolves from a trainer 1.75/5 here.
Modified- What can I say, do tons of damage at the start of the
game, drop one of these and then go to town with Pull Down.
Hydrocannon is pretty nice too. 3.25/5
Limited- Everything that you would think in Modified, but better.
I like the splash attacks, and board control is always nice.
3.75/5 here.
