Togetic – Without it’s PokeBody, Holy
Shield this would be another unplayable Togetic. The good news
for all you Togepi/Togetic lovers is that this card is very
playable and depending on your metagame a must have in your
deck.
You see Holy Shield prevents all effects of attacks including
Damage done to Togetic by your opponent’s pokemon that have Dark
in its name. It is has a weakness to Lightning and resists
Fighting types. Dive does 30 damage for 2 energy and Rainbow
Moves is similar to Metronome with the biggest difference is
that you can copy only Pokemon on your opponenets bench’s
attack.
Unlimited: 2/5 – If more Pokemon with Dark in its name were
played Togetic would be a force. As of now Togetic is nice as
its resists Tyrogue but gets pwned by BS Electabuzz.
Modified: 3/5 – Definitely a staple in any deck whose metagame
consists of Dark Pokemon such as Dark Electrode or Dark
Dragonite. See the connection with this week’s reviews now?
However Togetic would be much better if Holy Shield would shield
against Dark Types such as Team Magma’s Groudon and Team Magma’s
Claydol a staple in the World Championship Magma deck. With only
70 HP though it can stand enough from non-Dark decks to make a
huge impact. More of a support or back-up Pokemon in this
format.
Limited: 3.5/5 – Not bad here as the majority of Pokemon used do
have Dark in their names. 2 for 30 is a great attack and Rainbow
Moves can be a real headache to your opponent especially if
Togetic is benefiting by Holy Shield.

(Togetic)
Modified:
With Dark Dragonite, Dark Tyranitar, Dark Hypno, Dark Electrode
and even more popular dark Pokémon being played, Togetic is
clearly a tournament-viable card at the moment. It's Rainbow
Moves attack will often force your opponent to avoid playing
certain Pokémon on their bench, to your advantage. The only
problem is that it is not a particularly strong Pokémon, and
every deck that runs dark Pokémon has a way to deal with it. (Pidgeot,
for example, can be used against it.) But, it still can put your
opponent in a difficult situation, and often has several
powerful attack options.
Rating: 4/5
Unlimited:
Too few Dark Pokémon are played in unlimited. This thing is
simply knocked out by everything. The only good thing about it
(which is actually more powerful than you'd think) is the fact
that it's Rainbow Moves attack often has powerful options (like
Neo: Genesis Sneasel's Beat Up attack). Unfortunately, it's
three energy, but boost energy at least makes it something you
could consider if for some reason your unlimited area was filled
with Dark Pokémon.

Today we are looking at Togetic from
the EX Team Rocket Returns. First, a retreat cost of one is
pretty cheap and the resistance to fighting will come in handy
against all of the good fighting decks in this format. The
weakness to electric isn’t going to be terrible, but the main
electric’s you will probably run into are Magneton and Zapdos
Ex, but there are others out there to watch for. As for the
70HP, it is about what you would expect for a Stage 1. Now on to
the Poke-Power; this will help the most in draft, but there are
some good dark decks out there such as Dark Tyranitar and Dark
Dragonite. The first attack with two colorless for thirty damage
seems about right. As for the second attack, it is kind of
situational since sometimes you will get off great hits and a
ton of damage and other times the opponent will have nothing on
their bench worth copying. Also you sometimes will see cards
that say you must discard a certain energy card; Blaziken and
Blaziken Ex are a couple of examples of this. Probably the main
downside of this card is that it has to be a benched Pokemon.
Bottom Line: I think if we see Boost Energy again, this card
might have a shot in a couple of modified decks, but right now I
think it’s just not good enough. You will probably see this
occasionally in tournaments, but mainly this card you will see
play in limited.
Unlimited 2.5/5; the fighting resistance would help out against
Hitmonchan and Tyrogues, but also you will run into Electabuzz.
You will probably see it mostly in copy decks along with Ditto
and Clefable.

Limited 4.5/5

Togetic - TRR
Card of the day! woot indeed, though Togetic isnt much of a
start for me I would say.(sorry about not making it to the other
reviews! ^_^ )
HP is low, 70 for a stage 1? Never was good in the old days and
its still not. Togetic would be stomped and laughed on by even
the simple guys.
