Chatot G SV
Apparently, if you are going to look after a parrot
properly, you have to give them the same amount of care
and attention as a human child.
Or you can just teach them to say inappropriate things
when your grandmother pays a visit. I know which I would
do.
Chatot G is a card that is useful for a lot more than
embarrassing granny though. It has managed to find
itself a niche in control decks (primarily Sablelock)
which work by disrupting the opponent’s hand with cards
like Cyrus’s Initiative and Judge, before using Chatot
G’s Disturbing Spy PokePower to fix their draw for next
turn: that way you won’t have your plans ruined by some
lucksack topdecking into an Uxie or a Pokémon Collector.
Being an SP Pokémon means that Chatot G benefits from
the best support in the game: it’s searchable with SP
Radar and (crucially) re-usable with Poke Turn. Even its
attack is decent (and underrated in my opinion). For no
Energy, Search and Escape will grab you any Trainer from
your deck before shuffling Chatot G back in (so you can
re-use the Power!): a very useful trick for getting your
hands on those powerful (but mostly unsearchable) cards
like Luxury Ball, Pokémon Communication, or Warp Point.
Obviously Chatot G is only really good in hand
disruption decks, but where it’s needed it can make a
big contribution.

Modified: 3.25 (A niche card . . . but it’s a very
good niche card)
