Mask Change, some of the new Hero support out there,
and I'm just not impressed. I feel like normal Hero
Fusion using any tactic from before is better than
this. The Quickplay aspect is nice, I'll give it
that. So you sacrifice this card, and the Hero of
your choice, to summon it's Mask counterpart, of the
same Attribute as the selected sacrificed Hero.
There isn't much to say. If you're playing the
Mask set, you use this. It just seems like a waste
of resources to me.
Ratings:
No rating, as specified, you only use it to do one
thing, and in one Deck. Or you don't use it at all.

You're probably wondering, "What the #@%& is a
Masked Hero?" Well, apparently they're used by Jaden
late in the GX manga. Mask Change is the card used
to summon Masked Heroes by transforming any Hero
(Elemental, Destiny or Evil) into a Masked Hero from
the extra deck. Being a quick-play spell is great,
letting you dodge cards like Bottomless or D-Prison.
All the rest is up to whatever Masked Heroes are
available for us to summon.
3/5 -- Right now, it doesn't have many targets.
Art: Lame.
Fun Fact: Jaden's Heroes are all random vanillas,
you know.
Tomorrow: The Masked Hero you want to summon.

Mask Change
Hero monsters get new support with Generation Force
(as if they needed any more) in the form of the
Masked HEROs and the Vision HEROs. Mask Change is
the lynchpin for the Masked HEROs, swapping out a
regular HERO with a Masked HERO with the same
Attribute from your Extra Deck. Some of the Masked
HEROs are good, others not so much. The fact that
this is a Quick-Play helps it tremendously, being
able to save your HERO in a pinch. It's a simple
card and gets the new HERO Fusions moving. It
obviously won't see play outside of HERO based
decks.
Today’s card is Mask
Change. Mask Change is kind of a hard card to rate
since the card doesn’t really do too much. This card
is used to bring out the Masked HEROs and that’s
pretty much it. Now it does have a couple of pluses,
first it is a quick play so it is chainable. So if
your opponent targets one of your HEROs then you can
activate this and they lose their target. Also you
can use it during an opponent’s turn to surprise
them with a much more powerful monster. It may not
be the best card in the world, but it doesn’t really
have a down side.
I’ve always been a fan of Heroes, but the new Masked
Heroes aren’t really getting me excited. Mask Change
is a -1 spell that you use to summon your Masked
Heroes. A few were introduced in Generation Force,
but none of them are particularly good. I don’t
think I would ever want to lose advantage for a
mediocre Hero fusion. I’ve seen a few players use it
to combo with Absolute Zero (Activate Mask Change,
sending Absolute Zero to the graveyard, to summon
Masked Hero Vapor), but it doesn’t seem worth it.
Mask Change is obviously necessary if you want to
run Masked Heroes, but there are better cards to use
in a Hero deck.
