Masked Hero Vapor, the Hero of the Water attribute,
tries really hard to be good, but falls just short,
in my opinion. First, referring to yesterday, this
Monster can only be Special Summoned by Mask Change,
and not in any other way. Stuff like that almost
immediately kills cards, so we're looking for one
hell of an effect here...what do we find? Vapor
cannot be destroyed by card effects. Don't get me
wrong, said effect IS actually decent enough, but
only having 2400 attack (and 2000 defense) Vapor
won't be winning you many games.

Alright, Vapor, you're the only good Masked Hero
we've got, and the only way for us to summon you is
by using Mask Change on Elemental Hero Ocean (or
Bubbleman, if you're cool like that, or Absolute
Zero if you're crazy). Despite being immune to
destruction by card effects, 2400 ATK doesn't cut it
these days. 2400 was the magic number back in the
Reign of Monarchs, but these days it's 2500 (think:
Stardust, Utopia).
At least you can summon him after an attack. If you
want to be really pro, attack with a fusion, then
use De-Fusion, then use this for an OTK. But for
now, Vapor might not be the best Hero. If you've
ever built a new-age Hero deck, you'll know you need
to fit in a LOT of Fusions, Synchros AND Xyz's, and
there really isn't any room for this guy until Mask
Change gets more targets.

Masked HERO Vapor
This is one of the new HERO Fusions, and it's quite
impressive. Immunity to effect destruction is a huge
plus in my book, and this card can help out generic
HERO decks. 2400 Attack is solid, too, so it will
put in work on the field. It is vulnerable to cards
like Dimensional Prison, Compulsory Evacuation
Device and Brionac, as well as being destroyed in
battle, but considering you gave up an Elemental
HERO Ocean, I'd say the trade-off is fair.
Alright, today we look at one of the cards that can
only be brought out on the field by yesterday’s
card, Masked HERO Vapor. Vapor has the amazing
ability to not be destroyed by card effects. So he
may safely curb stomp those pesky Rykos and Snow Man
Eaters that you may be having issues with.
Also Vapor can get around Dark Hole, and other
staple destroy cards. Unfortunately vapor is a bit
hard to summon. Since you have to use a HERO with a
water attribute to summon him, and you have to use
Mask Change it makes it a bit tricky.
As I said yesterday, I’m a fan of Heroes, but the
Masked Heroes seem to be lacking. Masked Hero Vapor
is a mediocre fusion that could be difficult to get
over in a different format, but as of now, there are
too many ways to get over it. 2400 attack isn’t that
big of a deal these days and there are plenty of
spells/traps that don’t destroy. A simple Compulsory
Evacuation Device would get rid of Vapor easily.
Again, as I said yesterday, Vapor is used alongside
Absolute Zero, but unfortunately the combo seems
rare and not worth it. Vapor is cool, but I doubt
he’ll be making an impact in Hero decks any time
soon.
