Goblin Pothole Squad, seriously? I'm not really a
supporter of this latest squad of Goblins, who
apparently for some reason are a rogue construction
squad, who as the name suggests, create potholes.
Level 4, Earth, Warrior-type Monster, nothing
spectacular there. Coupled with 1500 attack and 400
defense, we still aren't making much ground. Now,
for the second effect, I assume the Goblins, along
with everyone else is hiding in said potholes. When
Normal Summoned, neither player can activate Traps,
and furthermore, Trap Hole cards cannot be activated
when a Monster is summoned, minus Dark Trap Hole.
The latter effect is rather interesting, but not
really enough I think to use this card. Although I
think, perhaps, it could be a fun enough piece of
tech.

Continuing with our review of wan-a-be cards,
Goblin Pothole Quad would like to be like his
Grandpa Jinzo. Unfortunately, Pothole is nothing but
a pot ___, well you fill in the blanks. OK, so it
can stop itself from being destroyed when summoned
and protects other monsters from being hit by a card
with “Trap Hole” in it. With 1500 attack, who cares,
as it is not going to do much to hurt your
opponent’s life points and will not be on the field
long enough to do any good. Its effects also hurt
you as you can not perform the above actions ether.
Not to mention the fact that cards with “Tape Hole”
in them are hardly even played anymore do to the
Solemn’s taking over.
Frankly, I do not see any relevance to this card.
Even though it is searchable with Giant Rat and
Reinforcement of the Army, it does little good once
you have it out in the current Meta. Even Warrior
toolboxes would shun this card.

Tuesday here on pojo and we are looking at a
monster card that would be great for a few streets I
know here in NYC, Goblin Pothole Squad. The squad is
a level 4, Earth/Warrior type with 1500 ATK and 400
DEF. Squad's effect is when this card is normal
summoned, Trap cards cannot be activated, also any
card with "Trap Hole" in its name, except for Dark
Trap Hole, cannot be activated. This card has it
advantages. Being a warrior type, Reinforcements of
the Army will get it to your hand quickly. This card
with Maurading Captain will get you a bit of field
advantage and turn your opponent's bottomless trap
hole cards useless for the time being. It can also
delay their Torrential Tribute for a turn, a turn
that you may need to win the game. Overall this card
can do well, you just have to play it at the right
time.
When this card is Normal Summoned, Trap Cards cannot
be activated. Also, "Trap Hole" Trap Cards cannot be
activated when a monster is Summoned, except "Dark
Trap Hole".
So does any one kow how many jobes these goblins
have?
Any way, I don't see this card seeing much play, the
only thing I see going for, is the fact that trap
cards can not be activated, what would make this
card a bit better is that instead of saying when
this card is normal summoned, it would be when this
card is summoned.

Okay, a Goblin that hates 'Hole' Traps. This is
another themed card that only works on a certain
type of card, meaning it's a very limited use card.
Bottomless Trap Hole is the main card played in lots
of decks, but that's only about 2 slots out of a 40
or higher card deck, so this guy just isn't very
useful. The more specific a negating card is, the
less useful it is in general situations, therefore
making the card wasted deck space. If you want to
shut down the opponent's traps, Jinzo works way
better.
