You can remove from play 1 "Agent" monster from your side of the field, hand, or Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 LIGHT Fairy-Type monster from your Graveyard to select 1 card on the field and destroy it. If you control a face-up "The Sanctuary in the Sky", you can use this effect up to twice per turn.

Master Hyperion is one of the big daddies for the
competitive Fairy player, with his 2700 attack and
his very easy and unique Special Summon ability
simply be appearing from your Hand by removing an
"Agent" Monster from your Hand, Deck, or Graveyard.
He receives more versatility by the fact that simply
removing a Light, Fairy-type Monster from your
Graveyard to destroy a card on the Field. That's a
1-for-1 each turn this guy stays on the Field
potentially, so long as you have the necessary bait,
You can use said effect twice if Sanctuary in the
Sky is face-up on the Field, That's not likely to
happen, but it's a nice bonus. Hyperion has all
kinds of support and tricks too with cards like
Honest, and all the other pro Fairy things out
there.

If you have not guessed by now, structure decks
have some of the best cards in the game. If you are
an avid Yu-Gi-Oh enthusiast and can afford it, you
should be purchasing 3 of each structure deck as
soon as they come out. Every structure deck being
released has had an impact on the game. Lost
Sanctuary is no exception with the release of Master
Hyperion, the third structure deck card we have
reviewed that made the top ten cards of 2011.
Master Hyperion is the glue that holds Fairy decks
together. Along with Archlord Kristya, Agents, and
Gachi Gachi Gantetsu (another structure deck card),
Master Hyperion added the destructive power that
vaulted Fairies to the top of the food chain. The
ease with summoning Hyperion and its 2700 attack
makes it an easy pick at number at number 6.

Coming in at #6 is a monster that made being a
big fairy a scary thing, Master Hyperion. Hyperion
is a level 8 Light/Fairy, with 2700 ATK and 2100
DEF. As if those really great stats aren't enough,
You can special summon Hyperion by banishing one The
Agent monster from your hand, field, or graveyard.
Once per turn, you can banish one Light/Fairy type
monster from your grave to select one card on the
field and destroy it. If Sanctuary in the Sky is
active on the field, you can activate this effect
twice per turn. Hyperion, in his own agent/fairy
deck, can be be very destructive, if Sanctuary in
the sky is on the field, he can more destructive.
Hyperion breathed new life into the Fairy type and I
know we will see more of him as newer fairies are
released. For those reason, Master Hyperion gets a
well deserved slot on out list of best cards of
2011.

Fun Yugioh Fact: Originally, The Blue Eyes White
Dragon was going to be Yugi Moto's main monster, but
was switched just before production.

Prior to the Lost Sanctuary
Structure deck, the Agents were cast aside as an
archetype with very loose and divided effects. Then
Lost Sanctuary and Xyz monsters came and the Agents
ascended to regionals and onwards to win Worlds.
Master Hyperion’s strength
comes from his deck. No matter when your draw him,
whether it’s early-game/late-game/topdeck-war, you
can summon him by banishing an Agent from your hand,
field, or graveyard. Also, once per turn, you can
banish a Light-Fairy to destroy one of your
opponent’s cards.
The Agent of Creation – Venus
can bring up to three Mystical Shine Balls (which
are Light-Fairy) out to the field. This both thins
the deck as well as provide synchro/Xyz fodder. When
Hyperion comes out, there’ll be a Gachi Gachi
Gantetsu waiting or at least two pieces of ammo
lying in the graveyard. And this is a modest set-up
too.
You could special summon Master
Hyperion, normal summon Tour Guide, Xyz into Leviair,
banish for Hyperion’s effect, and then summon the
banished card with Leviair. That’s using two cards
from the hand, but ending with three and one less of
your opponent’s.
Hyperion’s currently untouched
by the ban list, so it’s currently being ran in 3’s.
Attack that rivals Trishula? Once per turn
destruction? Easy to buy at the store in multiples?
You can see why Hyperion is on our list.

You can Special Summon this
card from your hand by removing from play 1 "The
Agent" monster in your hand, field, or Graveyard.
Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 LIGHT
Fairy-Type monster from your Graveyard to select 1
card on the field, and destroy it. If "The Sanctuary
in the Sky" is face-up on the field, you can
activate this effect up to twice per turn.
This card came out in the
structure deck “Lost Sanctuary” and is what fairy
decks needed, along with Gachi Gachi Gantetsu and
The Agent of Mystery- Earth to put Fairy decks at
the top for as long as they did.
Removing any “Agent” monster
from play is a simple enough of a cost and its
destruction effect is what makes this card so great.
Banish one light monster from your graveyard to
destroy one card on the field. You can use the
effect twice if you have “The Sanctuary in the Sky”
on the field. This can easily take care of the pesky
Spirit Reapers or the looming Solemn Warning or
Solemn Judgment that are facedown waiting to be
triggered.
Pros: Easily special summoned,
honest-able, fantastic destruction effect.
Cons: Necrovalley and Kycoo the
Ghost Destroyer can hinder this card’s usage.

I'll be honest. This is one of my favorite cardas
and serves as the centerpeice of my primary deck.
Being able to search him out via The Agent of
Mystery - Earth as long as Santuary in the Sky is
active is a huge plus. The one bad thing about him
is that you'll be draining your graveyard, so you
need support to get RFP (removed from play) cards
back into the game proper.
Being able to nuke any one or two cards per turn
is great in any situation and his stats are
impressive enough to keep him around for awhile.
This guy is in my opinion the best card to come out
in quite some time and fully deserves to have decks
built around him.

You guys remember how powerful Dark Armed Dragon was
when it first came out? Well this is a watered down
version and theme specific, but in no way does that
say this card is weak or mediocre. Being able to pop
cards on the board while not losing advantage is
amazing, and if you are using any sort of Fairy
deck, you need to include this card with some Agents
because of the sheer power. Even if you don’t have a
monster to rfg after summoning it, it is a free
beater that can be a force to reckon with
