Blackwing - Boreas the Sharp
#STOR-EN007 You can remove from play this card from your Graveyard to select 1 face-up "Blackwing" monster you control. If that monster battles with an opponent's monster this turn, it cannot be destroyed by battle and you take no Battle Damage from that battle. After damage calculation, destroy the opponent's monster that battled with the selected monster.

Tuesday
Do you ever look at a Blackwing card and think I
should be playing this Deck, or perhaps, do
Blackwings need MORE support? Blackwing-Boreas
the Sharp is kinda like Neo Spacian Grand Mole,
except obviously for Blackwings.
We have a Level 5,Dark attributd, Winged-Beast
monster, wih 130 attack and 900 defense, so you will
likely never ever actually tribute for this
Blackwing, it isn't even a Tuner. You want
Boreas in the Graveyard, as he activates his effect
by removing himself from the Graveyard.
By removing himself from the Graveyard, you choose a
face-up Blackwing you control. Said Blackwing
can attack a monster this turn, without taking
damage, or being destroyed, and the monster it chooses
to have batted is destroyed.
This is awesome. Who doesn't like being able
to destroy the "undestroyable" by simply removing a
card from play? Of course, your attack has to
be successful. Watch out for Traps and various
other stoppers, but that would be par for the
course.

Blackwings, oh Blackwings... Konami wants to give
you so much "support". Boreas isn't very
sharp, let's get that out of the way. He isn't even
very Boreas. Probably, I don't know. He's searchable
through Black Whirlwind, but you don't want to
search something like this. He's pathetic! Even
Cards for Black Feathers (Crow's charity of
choice... dammit alliteration) doesn't get this guy
in the grave.
And because even getting him all the way to the
graveyard just gives you a one-time effect that
can't be used alongside Vayu and is no better than
Smashing Ground... run-on sentences accomplish a lot
more than Boreas the Blunt.
1/5
Art: Not as good as Vortex the Whirlwind and his
googly eyes.
Fun Fact: Three weeks until Pokemon Black and White!
Tomorrow: Doppablehba.

Today’s card of the day is Blackwing – Boreas the
Sharp. This is a level 5 blackwing with 1300 attack
and 900 def, which is a pretty big insult to 5 stars
in general. Its ability is interesting though,
because you can remove him from the grave, choose a
blackwing you control, and you take no battle
damage, the bird is not destroyed, and the monster
it battles dies at the end of damage calculation.
It is a situational card in my opinion. Though it is
great at protecting tuners, it would probably see
more play offensively than defensively. It looks
more like a tech card for this format. Hit glads
using its effect before they tag out, surprise sams
with it when they try and hit hard, it seems like it
would be sided rather than main decked.

Boreas the Sharp is just a generally useless
filler Blackwing card for STOR. His stats are
terrible, he requires a tribute, he doesn't even do
anything until he hits the graveyard, and even then,
does nothing spectacular.
If you're really determined to use Boreas, you could
try using Dark Grepher. That way, Grepher can also
set up Vayu plays for you. Burial from a Different
Dimension would work nicely too, reusing Boreas,
Vayu, and Dark Armed Dragon fodder.
The main reason you should consider Boreas (and you
really shouldn't) is that works similarly to Kalut,
allowing you to attack anything you want, and
guarantee it will go down. I really recommend you
just avoid this card though.
Traditional: 1/5 Blackwings are already bad here,
don't make them worse.
Advanced: 1/5 This is possibly the worst Blackwing
released yet. Possibly.
Art: 2/5 Bora's useless older sibling?
