Dark Paladin |
DD Sprite is a Fairy type Tuner with 0 attack and
100 defense of the Light attribute and is Level 1.
Being a Fairy is quite workable, and being a Tuner
is never a bad thing. Ironically, you are
likely just going to use this as a Tuner as opposed
to using its effect.
You can Special Summon DD Sprite by removing from
play a face-up monster on your Field. If you
do, return the removed monster to the Field during
the next Standby Phase. I assume this would be
your opponent's if only because it doesn't say
"yours".
I don't see much use for that ability, unless you're
trying to say...free a monster of yours from a Trap
or effect of some other card, maybe return the
attack score of a monster you control to normal?

D.D. Sprite
She's fat. Removing one of your monsters? Not fun,
but it comes back next turn. But what's the point,
when you're just summoning a Level 1 Tuner? Why not
summon the Sprite instead of some other monster?
Maybe you're desperate for Catastor or something.
I'd rather use a better Level 1 Tuner, like Glow-Up
Bulb or something.

Fun Fact: Nature's Valley granola bars? Bricks.
Tomorrow: I hope I can escape from those bricks.

Here we are looking at D.D. Sprite. It is a one
star, 0 atk, 0 def, light fairy tuner. You can
special summon it by removing from play one face up
monster. And it comes back during the next standby
phase. This card seems ok, but it has some obvious
drawbacks. It’s a one star, so formula synchron
abuse is easily available. Now one of the biggest
drawbacks to this card is that it brings the removed
monster back on your opponent’s standby phase. This
card takes a lot to use to its fullest, but it seems
like excellent sac fodder for that monarch in the
hand.

D.D. Sprite is terrible card. At first glance, it
may seem like it could have some neat combos, but
the card removed to summon it is not returned to
play if D.D. Sprite is not on the field during the
Standby Phase. That pretty much removes any
possibility this card could be useful.
If you really want, it could be used with D.D.
Survivor or D.D. Scout Plane, since those will come
back anyway. Or maybe D.D. Destroyer could work.
That's about the best it can do.
Traditional: 1/5 It's a LIGHT for Chaos, I guess?
Advanced: 1/5 The card is just awful.
Art: 1/5 It's also dumb looking.

D.D. Sprite
This is an interesting little card that got my
attention form day one of Storm of Ragnarok's
release. He is a level 1 LIGHT Fairy Tuner with 0
ATK and 100 DEF. I don't know why it has 100 DEF,
maybe because he can wack you with his foot or
something, but those are pretty bad stats, the only
redeeming quality to them is that he is a Tuner.
The effect is simple, you remove from play a
monster you control to Special Summon it and during
your next standby phase it comes back. This would be
great, except that for the removed monster to come
back, D.D. Sprite needs to be face up on the field
or it stays removed. The rulings on this card
destroyed any playability it might have had in a
standard competitive deck.
However, a deck that generates a lot of tokens
could use this. That new compass card, Scapegoat and
Dandylion come to mind readily and lots of free
tokens generally means that you can do some Synchro
Summoning with this guy. The biggest combo I saw
with it was to get a bunch of tokens and then remove
one of them for this guy and then play that one card
that makes all monster's ATK to 0 when you remove a
card from play. Trading your expendable tokens for
SYnchros and power cards seems good while at the
same time making them useless for battle.
Other than that expensive and risky combo, there
is not too much you can do with this card besides
remove from play like D.D. Scout Plane or D.D.
Survivor. You CAN color his hair so that it is just
like Yusei though.
