Starting off our super duper Samurai week is
Kageki. Kageki is the Boggart Knight of Samurai.
When he’s normal summoned, you can special summon a
level 4 or lower samurai from your hand. He has a
poor 200 ATK, but as long as you control at least
one other Six Samurai, his attack jumps to 1700.
Kageki is incredibly cruel because you can summon
him, bring out the two star Samurai tuner, and go
straight into Shi En. All in all, a great addition
to the ‘Let’s make Samurai the new X-Sabers’ deck.

Legendary Six Samurai Kageki
Of all of the cards besides Shi En from this new
set, it is this card that makes the Six Samurai deck
tick. It is a level 3 WIND Warrior with 200 ATK and
an impressive 2000 DEF. The fact that it is a Six
Samurai and a Warrior is by far the most important
thing about this card.
The effect is even more relevant, but less
important. Kageki gains 1500 ATK when you control
another Six Samurai monster and you can Special
Summon a level 4 or lower Six Samurai monster when
he is normal summoned successfully. This is most
important when using Kagemusha, as the levels equal
exactly what you need for Shi En. When combined with
Six Samurai United and Gateway of the Six you can
easily get back your card advantage lost from making
Shi En and get you mor ecards to continue the
Samurai assault as well as protect your Shi En.
This card is played in 3's for a Samurai deck, there
are no ifs ands or buts about that. The card allows
summons for Bushido counters as well and it is just
great to have a Samurai version of Marauding Captain
that is searchable through Shien's Smoke Signal and
Reinforcements of the Army make it even more
important than Kizan as far as the overall deck
goes.
